I dont think any game will run on that pc?
Since it has an onboard graphics chip.
Also a old Celeron will not be enough.

Hi there :)

Sorry but that computer won't be able to play many current games at an acceptable performance level, or at all due to the unfortunate fact that it doesn't support DirectX 9 (possibly also DirectX 8).

Do you have an Xbox 360 or a Playstation 3?

Even a onboard chip with DirectX9 wouldn't be able to play Crysis2.
You really need a dedicated videocard to play any serious game.

Indeed, the PC you've stated will not be playing crysis 2, or any game for that matter.

To play crysis 2 you have two choices really. Spend around £200-250 on a console + £40-50 for crysis2 and enjoy 720p blurry 'goodness', or spend around £400-500 on a PC + £30 on crysis 2 and then get around 1080p shiny shiny graphics. Also, most importantly and the point that all console fans miss out when they use one of these very things to post about how their option is so much cheaper, a new PC!.

Surely that system is extremely slow anyway?

Unfortunately those games are nearly a decade old, they don't count since even netbooks can run them :D

But indeed, also what's with alienware? o.O it just gives PC gaming a bad name. In the theme of crysis:

Alienware, didn't rip off its customers!! They're just too limited to be considered to go all out. It played Crysis 1 on high on default and if in turbo mode, can play Crysis 1 on Very high with max performance and reduced resolution.

An alienware PC as powerful as mine costs 3 times as much and my pc will max crysis 2 like it did crysis 1. They're complete ripoff merchants who prey on the misinformed.

I can't dis-agree on that fact. Your' right "somewhat" but as a dedicated gamer and Pc engineer and Alienware L. owner. An Alienware laptop motherboard has more value than the whole laptop itself. Under the right hands, its one hell of a mobile gaming machine.

Did i say they were bad games? I think not, but they do not require a decent pc to run them, being as they are so old. Therefore saying 'i can run halo CE therefore i may run crysis 2' is obviously wrong, and that what my post was about. If you don't want to accept that trivial statement then by all means waste £30.

Also it is an opinion of what games are better, it depends on your taste. For the most part older games have worse stories and overall tend to be far less interesting (although some games like mw2 are definite downgrades, however you obviously haven't played blackops! If you're obsessed with old games there's even little mini games tucked away in it!). Nostalgia will always affect someones views however. But if halo 1 came out today as it was in 2001 it'd be a big pile of fail and be slammed by gamers and critics alike, and yes, i still play it from time to time.
