Crysis 2 TV?

Post » Fri Mar 19, 2010 1:15 pm

You have a point there.

But there's an event coming up, in which Crytek will be showcasing the MP of Crysis 2. Perhaps their getting ready for that?

If you ask me, there's usually silence in the middle of game development, where the community managers aren't really keen on talking since there's nothing really big going on.

... I really don't know. If they want to show us some information, let them. If not, then I'm non too fussed about it.

They said that they would have these episodes monthly. That's what they actually said. And actually, they said that they would have the second episode out in the BEGINNING of July. That's what the article says. That's what they said.

Now, OBVIOUSLY if they have people who are more than 13 years of age working there, they would understand if they cannot release more information before the Gamescom event, then they won't promise a second episode before said event.

And, what the hell does any of this have to do with all activity by Crytek downright dying?

The only thing that has happened is some non-sense on Twitter and I assume that's just one guy who's basically being told to put up stuff that he's given.

Fact of the matter is, someone in the PR team made a big mistake here. A really big one. Crysis 2 didn't make it into the *25* most wanted games of this year. That's a harsh fact and that alone screams that someone on that board is not doing their job properly or not doing it at all.

So, don't come and tell me they're "busy", it's their job to keep us excited, not let the excitement die. If they can't realize that, then please, find another job.

This may come as a shock to you, but you know, they actually have people there that are being paid to keep us hooked and keep us excited about this game. They're not. So far, anyway.

So, bottom line: We've been left here for a month with nothing and then they expect us to vote this game for the most waned game of the year. We can't do that not only because we don't actually know the game, but also, because they don't care for us so we downright shouldn't care for them.

Firstly, you should take a chill pill (If that phrase is ever used in today's world).

Not many people can keep their word. Not me, or you, or even Crytek. We're humans, we aren't built perfectly. So mistakes are pretty easy to make. :)

Now I don't know if this is right or wrong, but does Crytek get told when to release information? By EA or by higher ups?

Either way, I don't want so much information released because I don't want Crysis 2 to be spoilt. I want all, if not, most of the information to be released when in the last few weeks, when everyone is prepping themselves up for this game.

So yeah, we're human at the end, we can't be super human or god. C2TV episode 2 will be late, but really, why be negative about it, and in general about Crysis 2 information?

Sorry if this sounds offensive, but you sound like my teacher from school, who usually would yell at me if I didn't give my coursework in on time. Yes, it's something which we learn from, but sometimes, not everything can be done in a timeframe given.

IMO, it's not a bad thing if you can't make something in time as long as you admit it. Therefore a statement from the Cry-staff would be appreciated :)

For one, some text on the internet cannot display emotion, therefore, you couldn't possibly say whether I was happy, angry or downright yelling unless I was excessively swearing or something along those lines.

Secondly, yes, one person can make a mistake, but a team of PR people? That's simply not acceptable.

If they promised C2TV Episode 2 to be released and they didn't, they should come and say that yes, we ran into X troubles and will probably be releasing it somewhere around X date.

That would have been fair to everyone. But the fact remains, no Crytek activity on this site whatsoever in a MONTH. That's a solid fact.

And the subject of teachers "yelling" at you, well, if I were I teacher I would know that yelling at a student would only make the students disrespect you. There's a fine line between being considered some crazy old fool or a person with authority, who's respected. And also, this is directly linked to being able to teach well.

the C2TV is fail. they say beginning of july, its 2th of august, fail..
they didnt even released it in july like they said the would, double fail

and i dont understand why these forums are still **** up, cmn its been what? 2months?? still no updates?? should have keeped the old site until the new one was properly finished, this looks like its a beta site or something

I don't really care, crysis 2 tv episode 1 was never a requirement for me, i just hope that whatever they release is good and gets popular....

I can do without crysis 2 tv because they post other videos like the motion-capture one and more...

The second episode was scheduled for the end of July but various circumstances have pushed it back slightly - keep an eye out for it soon, it's coming :)

Thanks Tom, but was it really so hard to write a simple answer like that?
Did it really have to take 3 days?

Good. You know it would be nice if you could let us all know what is going on before we anticipate something and end up with nothing? Its much easier to prevent something like a riot than clean up the **** storm that comes later. Just some advice. :)
