Crysis water physics.

The biggest graphical letdown as most of you may agree with me was the fact that the water effects were garbage. No rippling and the water looked pretty gooey. I wonder if crytek wants to give feedback on if it updated its water effects in crysis 2? And NYC is technecly an island so I guess there might be near beach levels?

Back in 2007, Crysis' water was miles ahead of everyone else. People forget this game is 3 years old, i guess it's because of the scary/insane fact that it still puts up a fight with all the other games on the market, 3 years later ;)

Very true :) I do love to trick my parents into thinking it's a real island :P but don't forget even though uncharted is nothing against crysis it was released alongside crysis but it has amazing water ripples and effects.

That's just demoralizing for Crysis players.

I'd have to vote for Minecraft if we're talking about fluid physics here. ;)

I believe the CryENGINE3 trailer features some water stuff briefly however.

I would argue that the unreal engine produced better water physics in that it would trail after walked through and riple accordingly, getting lesser and lesser.

my biggest concirn with the water physics is that despite it being an ocean, the water would not crash upon the beach, it would just rise up and down on the land, as if it wasnt there at all
