Hey i just wanted to say what an awesome job you guys are doing with crysis 2, it's unbelivable but just a few things i'd like to say::
with the consoles is it possible to put in an offline skirmish mode with A.I for people that dont have xbox live or psn? i think it would be like a getaway from finishing the campaign and having nothing els to do then just play campaign, And also a simplified sandbox editor would be godly, that would keep me and im guessing every other console gamer on crysis 2 making missions, it would build the community so much.
Ok enough with console and over to PC, this game is going to own on pc nothing will ever beat it for 5 years!

And for other things i'd like to say about C2, the multiplayer looks very fun and for people saying dont put this in because it would be like MW because if its put in you might aswell go play mw.. Why not put it in? it would make the game funner and have more things to do in it.
Lol that delay made me go from yaya its comin out this year! to oh man thats crap, but if it means your spending more time on crysis 2 and hopefully adding new features into it then thats even better!

An offline skirmish mode with AI bots I'm not too big about doing.

The problem with adding things from Modern Warfare 2 is that it would not be the unique Crysis franchise we all know. I love the classes idea and the leveling, most of the movement animations exceed my expectations, and 20+ weapons is great, with weapon customization based off achievements! However, I think that adding Modern Warfare 2 traits like Nanosuit perks, killstreaks (dogtags), and 6on6 gameplay is generally looked down upon by the fans of a company that is currently struggling along the boundaries of going big again with Crysis 2, or staying hardcoe like they were for Crysis and Crysis Wars.

+1... I would also like to see this as not all people (like myself) have access to fast and stable internet connections suitable for online play.

I know it's not as awesome as playing online, but it is better than nothing. Single player campains can only be played a number of times before getting bored with it, and such a feature will surely add that something extra.

Killzone 2 is a good example that it can be achieved. I've played the campain about 8 times and still enjoy the offline MP skirmishes till this day :P

No, you don't pay for PSN hyper.aN.

I guess this is thread is applicable to people not in a position to play online (regardless whether it is PS3, Xbox, PC) if I understand sgtsn1per's first post correct :)

Well, the thing with Crysis is this. If they make the SP half the awesome that the first game was, they don't need an "Offline bots mode" because theres always a different way to play SP, with tons of enemy AI to kill.

And if you wanted to be able to raise perks against bots, I have to say thats hardly fair to the people who will be earning perks against real humans.

Playstation Network is free of charge, which is the reason I own a Playstation 3 and not an Xbox360. I didn't have the funds then to pay for Xbox Live.
