Crytek today revealed details about its first online FPS Warface and released first images. The military shooter in its near future setting offers a cinematic experience with next gen visuals, AI and physics based on Crytek’s proprietary CryENGINE? 3 game development solution. Warface provides gamers with a constantly updated extensive PVE universe full of dramatic multiplayer co-op missions, a full set of class based PVP and will be available for PC. This new Crytek IP is especially dedicated to the Korean and other Asian markets and is co-produced by Crytek Seoul. Warface is supported by a free-to-play business model.
“Our passion is to always deliver the best gaming experience possible. That’s why we opened our Crytek Seoul office in 2008 which today enables us to offer a game that is tailored to suit its market. We’re excited to debut with Warface in South Korea and to deliver a compelling and truly unique experience soon.” said Cevat Yerli, CEO & President of Crytek.
“Crytek’s proven pedigree with its multi-award winning AAA FPS games combined with our own cutting-edge technology CryENGINE? 3 and our dedicated team of experts makes us confident Warface will revolutionize the genre and become the next generation in online FPS.” added Yohan Kim, Managing Director of Crytek Seoul.

I like it it looks cool and i like the fact its PC only, seems like crytek is 1 of the few devs who still has heart for the PC
i hope it comes to europe though:)

Well, remember that this is all for the Asian gaming market, so it will be based for them. I think it will do well.

I doubt it will involve killing Yanks/Brits or whatever... the game is more than likely going to be for South Korea then it is going to be for North Korea since it is made in Seoul (South Korea). South Korea is one of America's strongest allies. South Korea and North Korea hate eachother.

South Korea - Freedom and democracy
North Korea - Dictatorship and communist

It all comes down to ideology.

So chances are it'll be anouther game with North Korea as the enemy.

Whats the difference between asian and western gamers?
Aside from the affectation for extreme hair styles and the baloonsized eyes on main charackters ;-)

But even this cliche` is superseded by now.

Talkin about:

ONI ( From Bungie) which had a manga style looj.
and
SHOGO Mobile Armor Devision (From Monolith) had a similiar style.

Both companies are resident in the USA and the mentioned games were available worldwide.

I want to see more information about this game, and I hope that it does make its way to the Western markets.

This could turn out even better than Crysis 2 if its a true FPS and not those grinders like WoW and Aion that the East eats up.
