CTD between Riverwood and Falkreath

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 11:57 am

So I've been past that area before along the lake which I'm assuming thats where one of the new housing locations will be? Never had an issue and don't have any landscape changing mods as far as added locations and stuff. But every time now since installing Hearthfire I CTD when taking the road between Riverwood and Falkreath. It crashes at the same place, where the path turns down hill towards the lake. Right were the Talos Shrine with the dead nords and thalmor agent. I have yet to try and go through there from the other direction. But 4 CTD in a row in that same spot all AFTER Hearthfire was installed?

Any suggestions or thoughts? Like I said I don't have any added location mods installed. I have also yet to try and go through that area with another character and see what happens.

I do but never use it... so should I uninstall it from the game and deactivate it from the NMM as well you think?

And I never had an issue before Hearthfire... is scenic carriages just not compatible with it?

It's not just Scenic Carriages, I get constant CTDs in that area and I've never had that mod.

Well I'm going to uninstall it and see if it works. Thing is I never crashed there before Hearthfire was installed and if people have seen scenic carriages cause the issue then its worth trying.

well I followed the deactivate scenic carriages through quest stop console command and then deactivated it from my NMM. Just ran down that road and didn't CTD so... I think I'm good.

Thanks for the advise

Hearthfire deleted a navmesh along that road out there. Scenic Carriages is only one mod that's touched the area and edited the deleted navmesh.

Oakwood also occupies the area right near there too, and the author had to issue an update to use with HF because the navmeshes were too close to his village.
