Cure for VL form

Do I have to do the normal side quest with Falion from Morthal to cure my vampirism? I have a feeling that won't work with the new types of vampires. Can anyone tell me how to cure it in case I ever want to go back?

Your feelings are wrong, Falion's ritual can cure vampirism of any kind. Joining the companions and becoming a werewolf also works.

Thank you for the help. Also, will I be able to go back to being a VL if I do cure myself? I'm only asking so I can think about the decision I make for my character.

Somewhere along the way I contracted vampirism while clearing a dungeon (Dawngaurd mission) I contracted vampirisim. I took the cure disease potion and all was fine. By the time i got out of the cave I discovered that I was a level 2 vampire. I immediately went to see falion (I used him to cure me one previous time) and there was no option for him to help. Luckily I hadn't done the companions missions yet so i did all of their mission to become a werewolf. Once I completed this I went outdoors and my vampire blood started boiling...after countless attempts to cure through falion (including asking every shopkeeper of rumors to try and retrigger the option with falion), and trying to recontract vampirism, I am now stuck on level 2 vampire and a lycan. My vampirism won't get any worse but -50% fire resistance and reduced attributes in sun, I'm having trouble defeating easy dragons as a level 49 if they breathe fire...HELP...PLEASE!!! (Xbox)

Yes, Harkon will bite you a second time after you cure yourself.

Please do not post Spoilers in General.

People come to General to learn about the game without learning about what happens in the game. If they want to know about what happens, that is what the Cheats, Hints and Spoilers section is for.

Do not use or ask about quest details or location specific details related to quests/puzzles/NPCs in your posts in this section. General is for discussing gameplay and mechanics. General topics about the the game include but are not limited to: races, items and their use, magic, enchanting, skills, perks, character builds, Skyrim specific Lore, criticism, praise, funny random things that happen, places from an esthetic standpoint and and other general topics.

Use the Spoilers Section if you have to post quest details or other spoilers or a thread about the same. Location specific details are also spoilers, this includes unique item/NPC locations and puzzles. The Spoilers section is also for exploits with character builds.

I will move this now.
