Cure for insomnia...?

Post » Sun Mar 24, 2013 7:12 pm

When you get home from school, DON'T GO IMMIDIADLY TO BED. Stay awake as long as you can, and the best way to stay awake is to STAY AWAY from pc's, consoles or tv. Do something, it doesnt have to be sports or to work out, just keep youself a little active to make the rest of the hour pass. Stay up until dinner.

After dinne, you can do whatever you want, and when you get tired, you should go to bed immidiadly.
pretty much this...i'm willing to bet he stays up gaming or watching tv until he's past the point of no return.

when you get home eat then digest a bit for some energy then exercise or jog for at least an hour. Afterwards take a nice hot shower and lay in bed...you'll passout and sleep like a baby ;)

Also, a big problem is "want".. Its hard to make yourself fall asleep, but when you don't think about it, it happens rather quickly..

I've actually adapted to my insomnia, haven't slept a wink for a straight week. Eventually my body won't be able to take it so my mind just gives up and I sleep for 4-5 hours and wake up feeling on top of world.

CCNA already asked that members not recommend meds. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/sleep-aids/AN01820 Which is why we don't want members recommending meds.
Sorry, must have missed that post. I'll read the link anyway.

Its normal if you stay awake couple nights. Honestly. 7+ days and you have a problem.
