Cure werewolf

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 5:18 am

I need some help to cure myself from being a werewolf.

I followed these tips, but it didn't help.
http://www.gamefront.com/skyrim-how-to-cure-being-a-werewolf/

I did a mission about curing for "Aela the Huntress", but all I got was a "Totem of the hunt" witch I can pray to in The Underforge without any results.

I have also read that I can burn a witch head in Ysgramor's Tomb, but I don't have any heads anymore (I killed all the witches and lost their heads some how, don't ask me how!). But the entrence to that place in the tomb is now sealed. (I found that out watching this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67dll2AMwhs )

Is there anything I can do to fix this or am I screwed? :)

PS! I finished the Companions quests weeks ago, but I hope it's not too late!

If I remember right the mission to cure yourself was given by falkas, not aela.
aela missions are about retrieving 3 totems that grant you new abilities when you are a werewolf.

Thanks, but the only thing I can say to Farkas now is "Follow me. I need your help". I can't get any missions from him anymore...

Does anyone else knows? I really tired of being a werewolf :)

Hi, Farkas won't give me any quest after the companions have been attacked.

+1 for tired of being a werewolf.

Personally, I have avoided the companions and jorvasskr hall for 4 months now. There are locations I haven't had quests for or explored due to all the problems with the companions storyline.

Has anyone had success post patch 1.5 with completing the companions storyline, curing lycanthropy, guards not referring to hairy ears, and getting the resting/sleeping bonuses back?

I'm fine, except for the guard dialogue. I finished the quest, cured my lycanthropy, and got my resting bonus back.

That's excellent. You got the resting bonus back. I have a few questions:

Are you playing on PC?
Did you check the menu to make sure Days As Werewolf is not continuing to increase?
Are you using patch 1.5?
Are you using USKP 1.0?

Boy, I hope so. I really, really want to get back to the Companions.

Apparently Bethesda doesn't care if their game is buggy, as long as they can sell new content.
The bugginess in the werewolf stuff Pushed me to play Amalur when it came out and I've only just tried again, still not working. Maybe in another six months they will deign to fix it.
Oh wait they are too busy making MMOs and DLC to fix bugs.

I cured WW but counter still increase on days of being one.
No rest bonus, inane comments from the peanut gallery.
This broken werewolf thing is infuriating.
On top of all the other infuriating things about this game. (i.e. anything to do with lydia)
I don't play games to increase my blood pressure and stroke out, I play them to have fun.

I'm playing on 1.5 and have the unofficial patch, and guards still make all of the werewolf comments, like the ones about hairy ears and the dog that needs muzzled.

Taking Glenmoril Witch heads to Ysgrammor's Tomb is the only way to cure lycanthropy. Lycanthropy is forced on the player, and is never something that can be cured with a cure disease potion or a shrine.

The lack of resting bonus isn't a bug. I believe it's mentioned in one of the loading screens. If you want the boost to skill increases, go with the Lover stone.

Bethesda games are always buggy. At least the games have gotten better with each release, in terms of bugs, but they can still be frustrating at times.

The Dawnguard DLC will be what you'll want. Becoming a Vampire Lord will override your Lycanthropy

The only way I know would be to burn the witch head at ysgramor's tomb, and the quest to cure the companions can come from vilkas or farkas but I dont know about aela, they don't mention that in the strat guide. If you wait until dawnguard becoming a vampire lord has been confirmed to cure lycanthropy.
