Curing Aela of the Werewulf curse

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 9:15 am

*Contains Spoilers To Some Companion Quests*

So, i have finished the companions quest, and had the oppurtunity to cure myself. Well, at the moment i had left it alone, since i had been planning to live with Aela. And she seems to like being a werewolf.
Now, i am getting a tad tired of no sort of sleeping bonus. And i feel like i may want to cure myself. But, i would want to know if you can cure Aela.

I was thinking maybe you could select the "could you do something for me?" command, put a witch head in her inventory, and then tell her to activate the shrine. Not sure if this would work, but just wondering if anyone had tried it.

Also, if i cure myself, will Aela get mad? Cause i dont want to upset nobody

Feedback would be great and welcome. Just would like to hear what you think or have seen.

No matter what you do, some women are going to be a [censored] until the day they die.

That seems like it could be doable, or at least should be with any of the companions. I doubt it is though but may try myself too.

In all seriousness, though, I really do not think it matters. I'm fairly certain that she will still be your friend no matter what you decide. If you aren't already married, wear the Amulet of Mara and then she can be even more than a friend.

Just imagine, if you will, a wife that will hunt and kill and then cook it for you.

EDIT: IF you're someone that can get things done. She likes that.

It could be done, but Aela doesn't want to be "cured" as she like Skjor never saw it as a curse, and likes being a Werewolf (wish she'd bloody transform now and then when she's your partner though)

Aela likes being a werewolf though, she sees it as a blessing. And I don't think it would matter if you cure yourself.

No you can't cure her, and no she will not be mad at you even if you decide to cure yourself.

Don't get the fascination with Aela.

She's a barbarian and a werewolf. You just know she has some serious body hair issues. But I guess some guys like 'em hairy.

Are you sure about this? Twice now, with different characters I became a werewolf and married Aela. Both times after I cured myself, she no longer acknowledged me as her husband.

This may be a typically female comment, but it is strange how guys always like the [censored]ty types. I totally dislike Aela and she can stay werewolf forever the stupid ..... In desperation once I took her on as a follower and she drove me nuts. She has such an opinion of herself and instead of being a humble follower she actually yawns the whole time if you try to check stuff out or take too long to attack something!

This is why I love her. She is so confident and sure of herself. What's the matter, you can't stand the sight of a strong nord woman?

I actually prefer a submissive female, which is why I married Muiri . . . again. I killed her and then did the console commands to be able to remarry, just wanted to play the field. I then married Senna and all seemed fine . . . until I asked her to make me a meal. She copped an attitude and said she should be asking me to make her one. That was all it took . . . she took an arrow in the head. I thought about Aela, I mean, she does look good in her hunting outfit. However, what guy want to keep hearing that line about her expecting you to stronger, or whatever it is she says. I like Muiri's voice, and she doesn't cop a 'tude when I ask for something to eat. I've even gotten used to her repeating "Thank you again for resolving my . . . problem". I really don't care if they ever fix that or not. Plus, she looks hot in Nocturnal's robe. Yeah, yeah, just pixels on a screen, I know, but it's still nice eye candy.

FYI for anyone interested in divorce, I chose alternative number two from this page . . .

http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Marriage

ALTERNATIVE #2
  • Kill your spouse (better if you do it while staying in your house, to avoid bounty)
  • Enter console command Setstage RelationshipMarriage 10
  • Use console commands resurrect on your ex-spouse (and eventually use command setrelationshiprank player 4 on him/her to keep the relationship status obtained with the npc related quests)
  • You DON'T need to drop or sell your old Amulet of Mara. But remember to wear it while looking for a new partner.

No, because I am a strong Nord woman myself! Even though I look like crap and my hair always has a bad hair day, I can still beat Aela in the looks department too.

I have tried this, and it did not work. I thought it was rather clever, too.
