Curing Serana....

Post » Mon Nov 19, 2012 12:33 pm

I told her to cure herself and she said she was going to and that she'd be back soon. Has anyone done this and how long did it take for her to return?

How do you cure her in the first place? The only things that come up for me are the basic ally commands and to give me bloodcursed arrows. Oh, and if she cures herself, will I be able to get anymore Bloodcursed arrows?

Shouldn't this be moved to the spoiler's forum?

Can she still infect you if she is cured.

If you ask her about curing herself before the main quest is over, then she won't do it. But the option to comment on it should still be there, she just says something along the lines of "You've asked me this before, I'm not doing it". The only way to get her cured is to never discuss it before the main quest ends.

Can she still infect you if she is cured.
You do know what cured means... right?

Exactly. Why would you want to get her cured? She likely loses a huge chunk of her power when you do that.

Janus Hassildor's wife lives for a few hundred years and died when she is cured because of the amount he has aged... but Serana is around 4000 years old and curing her does NOTHING HARMFUL? BETHESDA IS GRABBING THE LORE AND HITTING IT AGAINST THE BLOODY WALL!!!

Janus Hassildor's wife hadn't fed in centuries. When she was cured she died of starvation.

not really on my second playthrough she is just as strong and even still uses vampiric drain plus she seems actually happy about being cured

In my game, cured Serana still has vampire Serana dialogue options (that is, her dialogue still makes it seem like she's a vamp)

She looks the same and acts the same. Only difference is the whites in normal eyes are replaced with a yellow nasty malaria looking thing. Her new iris color is blue/green.

I take it by when she says she'll return home she'll go to castle Volkihar or Fort Dawnguard respectively, right?

EDIT: yep she does, just tested it
