Cyrodiil must be HUGE!

Hello, bonjour, Здравствуйте, Guten Tag!
I was recently watching some gameplay of Oblivion and stumbled upon this; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTGQ4-_C1o4&t=1m47s.
It's a video of an archer shooting a goblin, quite far away from the White Gold Tower (as seen in the time linked), seeing it in the distance whilst looking at all of this landscape gets me pumped and brings back great memories of Cyrodiil and Oblivion. Now, I can imagine being in a place like this in the video and shooting down enemies within the trees and mountain tops, it'd just be awesome.
But, a key thing that's needed for this type of gameplay is the size of Cyrodiil...
From what I've seen so far, Cyrodiil is an absolutely massive place, but; I've heard multiple times that some of the places in an area are blocked off (no, I don't mean faction locks), like in Elsweyr you can only go to the North-Western side and to the South, but the rest of the land is blocked off with the reason being - the plague is still about, no-go area.
I'm wondering how much of the other lands are going to be blocked off, like Cyrodiil for example, they need to get it right if they want us to get that nostalgia kick.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyQZ6y6aGNw&t=17m59s, this part shows off Cyrodiil quite well, too. This is what I want Cyrodiil to feel and look like in TESO..!

I just really hope Cyrodiil is a lot like the Cyrodiil we all know and loved from Oblivion, it all comes down to size and atmosphere if you ask me.

Well, every place has areas blocked off. I'm sure it's just to make sure they have room for expansions.

Now that you brought it up I wonder how much they can take away from each zone upon launch, I don't think they should reserve more than 10-15% of the territory... I don't know really I hope it's not a constricted meadow where zerg fests take place.

Cyrodiil should be pretty much 99% there, and the area is very very big.

and there is only 2000 players in there at any given time tops. divided to 3 different factions.

I'm really looking forward to returning to Cyrodiil. The area was, in my opinion, really big for a single-player game. They might have to expand it to fit all the players in a MMORPG, though.
The Province shouldn't look too much alike Cyrodiil from Oblivion. There has to be some change after about 1800 years, after all. But it could be really interesting to see some of the castle ruins in their prime, not just rubble and heaps of stone.

The atmosphere also felt great, it's definitely my favourite Elder Scrolls game(I've played Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim).
