No Daedra?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 4:02 am

After looking at the creatures list, it seems to be missing one of the hallmarks of TES: The Daedra.

Can anyone confirm that there are daedra (besides the lords) in game?

I realize Atronarchs are confirmed.

What I'd like to know about are:
Scamps
Clannfear
Hunger
Ogrim
Dremora (of all sorts)
Golden Saints
Winged Twilights
Warriors of Order
Spider Daedra
Daedroth
Xivilai

Thanks!

Yes, there are Daedra. I don't believe we've seen any so far but many things reference fighting them such as perk & spell descriptions.

I'm taking it as assumed.

*looks at the conjuration tree*
*no perks for summoning Daedra, just undead and Atronauchs*

Oh dear science... Maybe the closing of the gates of Oblivion did more than we thought.

Apparently there are daedric shrines, or rumors of them at least. There is an ACHIEVEMENT (SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!) called "oblivion walker" -acquire 15 daedric artifacts. I interpret that as we will be venturing into oblivion gates via daedric shrines. However this is complete speculation. I do wonder why an achievement is called "oblivion walker" though...

This is what worries me.

There are spell perks that say "to daedra" but I'm wondering if they just mean the atronarchs we've already seen.

Well we will be seeing a new form of daedra armor. It has a bit of an Enclave look if you ask me.
Though if that armor is in the game then it may mean Dagon's Daedra may be in it.

Yeah this kind of scares me as well, but I remember some guy telling me that you can summon Dremora; although it was just word of mouth(text). So I'm taking it with a grain of salt.

People keep using deadric shrines as logic that there must be daedra in the game. If you mean daedric gods, then yes, they are in. If you mean regular daedra, such as the ones listed by the OP, you cannot draw that conclusion. There were quests given by daedric gods in MW and OB that had no daedra involvement whatsoever.

There are some perks that hint at Daedra being in. Then there are those like the conjuration tree that should have them but do not.

Though remember, early build and low levels. They might not have had Daedra in the game, or accessible at that point.

Daedra (not just lords) have been present in every single TES game, I doubt they would take then out now.

I was reading some threads about resurrecting the dead and it said that a daedra cannot be resurrected without the heart... so I think there may be SOME daedra... but which ones, unfortunately we have to wait to find out :obliviongate:

I hope so. One of my characters is an immortal Breton Warlock in an infernal pact with Clavicus Vile. One of the stipulations of their pact is the use of Vile's lesser Daedra minions as summoned lackeys.

To me not having any perks that buff your conjured Daedra doesn't say "there are no Daedra", it says "conjured Daedra are going to be bloody powerful so you're not getting two of them."

Also, considering that Daedra hearts are required for smithing I'd say you'll find Daedra of the non-conjured variety out and about.

I am 99% sure they will be in, they have always been part of the elder scrolls, and I believe they were confirmed a few months ago, though Todd could have been talking about atronachs(sp?) and such

They simply have to put them in... Considering it's TES's most popular and unique enemy type.... Think about it, every game has rats, wolves, trolls, skeletons, giants and yes, even dragons...

What makes TES stand out are the additional enemies (daedra)

So if they don't include them, they are taking out a HUGE part of the game.

Just my thoughts though...

I am not too worried about them being in the game I am more worried about how and if they work into the conjuration skill.

I can see them not being in.

i can see them being in but being powerful enough that they don;t need perks.

Neither option is something I like. Option 1 is bad, option 2 makes me wonder why you will take the perks if it is just getting them on par with Daedra, and if the perks make them better than Daedra why aren't there any daedra perks to keep them useful.

I can see much more remote possibilities like now Atronoch is the generic term for any creature summoned and not reanimated, but I am guessing on my first 2 options above.
