I agree with the OP to a point but the majority of the Daedric quests do require acts that are "evil" by just about any definition of the word IMO. Can't speak for everyone but exposure to them has left a bad taste in my mouth with regard to the Daedric quests in general, with the exception of Sanguine's - which doesn't really require me to do anything my character wouldn't do anyway, at least when she's sober

- and Sheogorath's, which is harmless in terms of "real world" impact. Meridia's and Azura's and possibly Vile's quests would probably also fall into the acceptable category for me, but I find them all rather tedious on repeated playthroughs and the rewards don't really mean much to me. Vile's quest is especially irritating since 1) I hate that stupid dog and 2) avoiding it entirely makes one of the province's capital cities off-limits unless I make a point of never entering or leaving it like any normal character would (i.e. via one of the roads in or out) and I can never risk taking a carriage there either. It also makes it impossible to do any business with the local blacksmith.
It's fine to RP that you've been tricked into doing something you can't get out of, but the reality is that the reason you can't "get out" of most of it boils down to quest design and the inability to refuse a quest once you've stumbled onto it or had your character's business hijacked by some NPC who insists on giving it to you whether you wanted it or not. For that reason I've found ways to "fail" a couple of the quests on purpose, but that's not always possible either. And no matter how much I try to RP that I got tricked into something and it's "okay" for that reason, that doesn't change the fact that *I* know what's going to happen, and I wasn't tricked at all, I was just the "victim" of what I consider to be some really lousy quest design.

i think that's the real thing that has put me off the Daedric quests overall, the way so many of them are forced on characters who then have no way to tell the Daedra in question to stuff it, because it's not gonna happen.
