DaedricEbony Helm with Ebony Armor Clipping

Post » Sun May 27, 2012 2:49 am

The image below shows it quite well...

As you can see when wearing the Ebony Armor set, major clipping issues occur when a Nord/Redgaurd male isn't of full weight. All of the graphical issues occur around the neck and the body. While the females of any race doesn't have this problem, it slightly occurs on some of the male races.

Also, aesthetically, it's unappealing to see your body show in what should be a full set of heavy armor.

While the weight set to max fixes the clipping issue on males ('showracemenu' via console commands), you're still left off with the guy showing skin right under the helmet (happens with the Ebony Helmet and the Daedric Helmet).

I'd like to request a minor fix to this to make it much more 'easy' on the eyes, like texturing black clothing. or fixing the clipping on male bodies overall so no skin is showing. If neccessary I can supply more screenshots to explain what I'm talking about. Not all heroes are muscular beings, it's a shame it was overlooked with such an eye-candy of a game.

I know I'm bumping this pretty late, but I also have this issue and would like to see it resolved. It would be nice if the Matching Set perk actually worked for Ebony also.

Ive to agree its quite ugly looking so I decided to delete all the heavy armor perks and went for light armor. Since armor is capped at 576 its useless to invest much in armor.

I'm surprised more people aren't making more of a fuss about this for me personally it's hands down my favorite armor in game but the clipping issue is just too much for me to overlook I've stopped wearing it all together because of the clipping and it looks even worse if you're not wearing the helmet.

This same sort of thing happens with Khajiit and one kind of Fine Clothes. It's disappointing but I'm not sure how they'd fix it.
