Daggers and One-Handed Perks

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 3:22 pm

Now I know that daggers do not receive the benefits from the fortify one-handed enchants you can put on gear. Does that mean any damage multiplier I take in the one-handed perk tree would NOT affect daggers?

I have 17 perks that I have no idea where to place and I already have my core build set up done (archery maxed and sneak maxed with perks in the professions to maximize everything). I was looking to go dual dagger.

The one-handed damage perks work, as does the decapitation power attack.

Alright, thanks. I think I will drop a few perks into one-handed then.

Note: Crit chance for swords does NOT work with daggers.

Anyone know about Dual flurry for daggers, and the last tier dual wield power attack perk? Some have told me yes, others no.

Dual Flurry does work and it's just incredible. I don't know if anybody tested the power attack but why wouldn't it?

Ive seen it a couple of times but it seems there is only 1 animation for it,
the one where it forces the enemy on its knees and crosses the daggers and then it cuts of the head scissor like

Sound cool. Do you have to be op to proc it? Does it proc often. If so, I'll invest in it, if not I won't waste my perk seeings I'm heavy in illusion/ stealth.

best part is that you can use it during crouch with the roll perk
dont have to have the silent sprinting perk this way, you just roll up behind a target while using the critical

any one tested this combo works:

sneak with silent roll in addition with the perk for critical charge for double critical while sprint and dual savargery for 50 % bonus for power attack?

I can only use Critical Charge with one weapon. If I sprint and dual-power attack, I stop up and don't get the extra damage.

Actually, I don't think flurry works.

The power attack for daggers doesn't seem to change in speed, while the power attack for swords becomes noticably faster for each rank in flurry, and a dagger + sword is amazingly quick compared. Gives me some doubts about whether the dual wielding power attack damage bonus applies either

Flurry doesn't work for dual daggers. If you put a sword, axe or mace in one hand and a dagger in the other, it will work fine. Mace in one hand and dagger in the other works best for me, Mace for the damage and 75% armor ignore, and dagger for the 30x damage backstabs.

On a related note, it seems Mehrune's Razor is bugged or has an unlisted bonus. I use it in my off hand while dual wielding, and I attack twice as fast as dual sword, or sword and dagger! :toughninja:

Can anyone with a character with 2 points in dual flurry and a Mehrune's Razor confirm this? I wanna know if it is a bug just for me.

I also use the razor in my off hand and this doesnt happen to me, I also have 2 points in dual flurry

I tried to find a video on YouTube showing the difference between dual flurry and not having it, but I was unsuccessful. Does it increase anything besides the power attack speed? If I swing with one hand then the other, is that process sped up? If I hit both triggers at the same time and repeat, is that sped up?
