Dammit. My Companion Disappeared.

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 1:23 pm

It's Mjoll the Lioness. She just up and disappeared. Haven't seen her anywhere! I tried getting a new companion and it says I already have one. Is there a way of getting her to show up via console? -_-;;

Also, side note: any mods to have more than one companion? Everytime I google "companions" it leads me to the guild. XD

Try googling "followers" and you'll get more luck.

Try fast traveling if you haven't already. That should make her appear unless she's bugged out in some way. You could also try waiting/resting a really long time. You should get a message that "your follower has grown tired of waiting."

Finally, if none of that works, try doing a quest where you have to take on a follower. They should replace your previous follower.

Even finallyier, if on PC, look up her ID and use the "placeatpc" command to bring her next to you.

I've tried fast travelling, and waiting. Nothing. Usually it worked too.

I have a quest where a follower follows me, though, I can't equip him. It's the guy I have to deliver to the cannibals. He and her have been questing with me for the last 15-20 hours, and then out of nowhere she just... disappeared.

And yes, I'm on PC. How do I look characters up on console though? What's the key word? And do I just type her name after? Or..

For companion mods, just go to http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/ and scroll down to the Companion-Other option.

Mjolls base id for placeatme code:00019DF7

If she shows up dead you can ressurrect her by going into console clicking on her body and typing ressurrect

You could try the "moveto" command, which won't create a duplicate of the named NPC as placeatme might.

For Mjoll, you'd type:

"moveto 00019DF7"

Which is her REF ID and can be found for any character on UESP.

The "placeatme" creates a duplicate, BTW, not the original follower. If the first Mjoll is still alive somewhere in the map, the second Mjoll you create using "placeatme" still won't follow you. But you can tell the second to go home and then as she turns to leave, tell her to follow, and it kind of resets.

Yeah, I should mention the "moveto" will actually move you, the player, to wherever Mjoll is stuck at. "Placeatme" creates a duplicate as Seseron describes.

Oh yeah forgot about moveto....I had used the placeatme command on my housecarl for windhelm since he didnt appear or got lost. I actually had to use it twice because he got lost when i said we should part ways. I have never seen him again and hes sitting in windhelm (though i dare not bring him out since i think he wil get lost again)......I will keep a look out for 2 more markarth housecarls I guess lol

I've used placeatme to invade Whiterun with an army of Lydias. It's funny watching a single-file line of Lydias marching towards Breezehome. It's also fun to placeatme about 25 bandits and watching the chaos from a rooftop, lol.

That must be how people make the videos of armies of Stormcloaks and Imperials battle on mountainsides and such too.

I now have a comp that can handle tons of things on screen without stuttering to a crawl, so im tempted to play around and make an army of Jesters to reak some havoc. In the name of the Night Mother of course.

Finally! I found her! I tried using the BaseID because it wasn't registering for some reason otherwise when I asked it to "placeatme". But, then I tried the "player.moveto" and it worked. So glad I didn't stick with the BaseID, otherwise all my items she was carrying would have been gone. D:

So much for marriage. Does Skyrim's marriage law even give health benefits? XD

Most likely. I was responding to the guard who says, "I deal mostly with thievery. Haven't had a good bandit raid in a while." I was like, "Oh is that right?"

I have lost my follower Lydia and have tried all the suggestions above, but the "moveto" and the "placeatme" commands in the console to find Lydia. Where can I find the conslole code for each of the followers?

question for pc users: could you spawn about 25 Lydias and then frenzy them all? Would be funny to move through a dungeon by spawning a bunch, fear one then frenzy the others. When a mob comes looking for the source, they find two dozen Lydias beating the stuffing out of each other, fear the mob, repeat.

I can't find Vorstag (Never came back after Companions quest. Showed up for our wedding then left again!) What *exactly* do I type and where for moveto? His ref id is 000B9984 and base is 000B997F. Pretend you're describing what to do to a person who has no idea what you're talking about but is dying of frustration because she can't find her companion and has tried everything else. Thanks.

Edit: Ha ha, my real life husband figured it out! player.moveto 000B9984 Thanks for pointing us in the right direction. Btw, he was outside Helgen! Why on earth I don't know!
