I'm trying to finish up the Dark Brotherhood questline but this missions seems completely broken for me. To avoid spoiling it for anyone there comes a moment where you have to embrace the Night Mother. However when I do the screen goes black as is normal and plays ambient background noise. This continues for a long time. Eventually the noise is dropped and I just get a black background. If I try to bring up the dashboard I get the sound, but then all control inputs are ignored.
Can anyone help me with this?

I should mention that the only way to quit out or make my xbox operational is to turn it off and back on again.

This happened to me too until I unequipped all my brotherhood gear and the Volsung that I was wearing. I also had an amulet and ring on, which I removed. I got in wearing a jester's outfit and everything went smooth after that.

Yeah, this happened to me too. The first time it happened, I restarted my Xbox and tried the quest again. It froze in the same spot, but I gave it a couple minutes and it finally snapped to so I could finish the quest. So, try giving it a couple minutes and see if it lets you finish.

Very frustrating indeed though, Bethesda says they are working on stability issues in the next update, so hopefully this includes freezing.
