So, I was walking through Whiterun with my mage character when I overheard a conversation between Olfina Gray-Mane and Anoriath and wood elf indicated that she and Jon Battle-Born may be an item (something corroborated by the UESP Wiki). She threatens him.

I know that the poor wood elf's life gets shortened by someone, from a different character's murderous side-occupation. Now my money is on Olfina, who also tells female characters that you can be respected, even feared. Looks like she's working hard on that.

While sneaking about in Riften, I found that Maven was performing the black sacrament - I can't remember who I'm supposed to take out in that neck of the woods.

My question is, has anyone else overheard any other interesting tidbits of town gossip to indicate why some of these other poor sods are being put down? Please share! I'd love to hear it.

I'm suspicous of Ingun Black Briar saying that she'd like to make use of her talents in much darker circles. With all of the ingredients having Damage Health effects, yeah... Dark Brotherhood, maybe? Castle Volkihar?
