I also didn't like the DB in Skyrim as much as the DB in Oblivion. The quest where you disguised yourself as a chef was a nice change of pace in Skyrim's DB, too bad there weren't any other quests like that one. I also wish there would have been potential "accidents," like dropping the mounted head on the target in Oblivion. That would have added some much-needed variety to the assassination methods. It would have been great too if we had more creepy dialogue from the DB members, something like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RkVLkspEe8&feature=related, which is both creepy and funny, and made the DB in Oblivion so memorable for me. Well, that and http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=endscreen&v=FfB1G3fJQBs. He was a great character with some great voice-acting. The closest Skyrim got to that was with Cicero.

I still think that the Dark Brotherhood is the best guild in Skyrim, even with its flat plot twist. But that's not saying much.
