Dark Side of Skyrim


What is Dark Side of Skyrim? (DSoS)

DSoS is the generic term for all the things I want to change in Skyrim or add to Vanilla Skyrim. For example: If I dont like the landscape in an area - I will change it, if I am keen to build a new dungeon with a new quest - I will do it.
Simply said.. There is no masterplan - I will do what I want :cool:
So this project will contain a big variety of changes but the main goal is to make the world more dirty, more evil, bloody or to enhance crime.

As I am German this will be a german mod, but I will try to translate it after release as good as I can. But if you like my work you should rework the translation to fix grammar and spelling.


Features planned
- New Dungeons
- New Smuggler Guild
- New Quests
- Landscape changes
- New Scenes
- Scripted unique items
- New Music and Soundeffects in my cells
- New scripted features
- Playerhomes for really evil / beastly characters (small, but nice gory design - dont like these huge castles - perhaps a small beast-cave playerhome for werewolves or an small dark,bloody church for an vampire)


Features done or in work

The first part (wich will be in one esp-file) is about Skooma and smuggling. It will contain:

- A new smuggler guild near riverwood with quests (Guild-house = underground Tavern with custom music tracks - done / Starting quest almost done)
- Some (smaller) landscape changes on the way between riverwood and the Honningbrew Meadery
- Checkpoints scattered around the world - if you walk through an checkpoint, there is a chance of being searched for illegal goods (skooma, moon sugar, human hearts/flesh for now). If you carry some of them -> guards try to arrest you
  • Checkpoint near Honningbrew Meadery done and working
  • Checkpoint near Riften "South Gate" done (No NPCs not scripted yet
- Big Landscape overhaul around Riften "South Gate" (Exteriors 90% done - Interiors 0% done)
- 1 new secret dungeon (60% done)


Features in work but cancelled (for now?)

- DSoS Real Drugs (skooma and alcohol "high"-effects, chance to get addicted and detoxification-effects based on race and lvl):
Mostly working but I cancelled it because I wanted to do some landscape and quest stuff instead of boring scripting^^
Will continue worlk only if people show interest in
