I just tried this out and it works brilliantly. I usually avoid followers as when i tried to use them before they just got in the way or stopped using thier weapons and i spent more time defending them than progressing with the quest i was doing.

I wanted a follower using a bow however so i decided to give it another try and it has worked great so far.

What combinations of follower and weapons types do you use?
