Yo, I am a ps3 user but i've been keeping up with the news surrounding getting the dlc to ps3 and things are looking up. I am hopeful at the least. Anyway, I was just wondering if it is true that with the Dawngaurd dlc, can random werewolves attack if you are wandering around at night? Before DG was released on any system I read on DGs wikia that that was a feature but I havent heard any news of this and I can't verify it because its not on ps3 yet. . Anyone had any epic Vampire Lord vs Werewolf battles?

Yes it is true but very rare just like the gentleman said above me. You can mostly find them aroound the Falkreath general area.

There's a few different wilderness encounters that have werewolves in them. I've seen them near Riften and in the Reach, and would assume they can occur at any wilderness random encounter spawn.

You can't become a werewolf through them, though.

I've only seen it once, and it wasn't in werewolf form to start--he was a traveling farmer, in broad daylight, walking the road. When I approached him, that's when he suddenly changed. So I assumed my own Wolf form for a proper battle.

That farmer wasn't nearly badass enough, though, so it was kinda disappointing. Over too quickly.

I encountered one at night when travelling from Riverwood back to Helgen. Imagine his surprise when I turned into a werewolf too and tore him to pieces.

They only appear if you join the Companions and progress in that questline.

Not sure if that's true but i guess it's a possibility. I've seen them in a few holds but mostly Falkreath and i didn't finish the Companions on that character yet. Maybe destroying the Silver Hand lessens the death ration and causes more Werewolves to roam. This game does have better AI so makes sense to me.

I have come across 4 werewolves in The Pale all within 20 minutes. For me the werewolves seem to travel in packs of 2.

I think they need to make it more often than "Very rare" and you dont have to progress through the companions questline i havent done any of their quests and ive seen a group.

Speak for yourself. In my current playthrough, I've ran into random werewolves the last 3 times I went out for a romp. They hit hard too, almost worse than a dragon (and ironically, the last pair I fought I did so right when a dragon was attacking me).
