I wonder if we will get the Soulbug familiar from the Gamejam video.

:hehe:
He still feeds on people. His wife didn't, so she slipped into a coma. He still likes to chow down on people.

As for the wolf or lion, they are hunting to survive they are doing it out of instinct and have no sense of the human terms of right and wrong therefore are neither good nor evil. A lion that eats a person is not evil, it is doing it to survive.... the same as people that eat a cow

If that makes sense?
Same as a vampire. Look at Rona Hassildor. She didn't feed, she went into a coma. If vampires do not feed, they become blood-thirsty and their true nature is revealed, and they are hunted. To blend in, they must feed. So they must survive. Human logics do not apply for predators.

Cannot wait for the beta of this game. Never heard of a developer doing something like this, but, if I get picked, rest assured that I will be providing feedback about the information! If not, I will be buying this when it comes out! Good luck everyone! :)

I'm thinking we might get a Thieves Guild DLC. No matter what you do the Vault in the Thieves Guild will close with no way to open it. And Brynjolf and Vex, Delvin said Mercer stole the blueprints for Heists and we never got those back. I think a Thieves Guild DLC where we go on big heists to steal some rare items would be fun.

That's something I would really like to see. It'd also be cool to set up shop for both the Thieves' Guild and the Dark Brotherhood in new territories (if they appeared in DLC). I like the idea of choosing a location for a new base, recruiting members, and seeing what work you can get. Maybe if one area is more totalitarian, you get more jobs to bust friends and loved ones out of prison, or if another area's richer, you have more opportunity to steal greater valuables at increased risk.

I hope we do get to choose where to build a base if such a thing would happen.

I would also like a DLC where we see Hircine's Hunting Grounds and get more Werebeasts as playable transformations.

I don't think that's going to happen. I'd like to see more werebeasts, yeah, but Hircine and all just makes me thing of Bloodmoon.

Maybe the next thread of this series could be focused on future DLC only, rather than on dawnguard and future DLCs, given the understandably increasing number of threads on various key points of Dawnguard?

Anyways, here is my opinion on what I heard of Dawnguard.

What I didn't like :

That the vampires don't look like the Volkhiars of the lore, who pass through the ice of frozen lakes. Well, I suppose that "Immortal blood" was romanced, and then, not entirely reliable, but this makes me sad, cause the Valenwood vampires it describes seemed freakingly nice to me, and now their existence and nature is questionable as well... :(

The name "Fort Dawnguard". I find it a little dumb, they could have given it a "real" name.

The association between vampires and bats had never been done in past games.

From the trailer, it doesn't seem that we'll discover more about Lamae Beolfag and the Shrieking Winds. But could Lamae Beolfag be the root of porphyric hemophilia and not sanguinare vampiris?

What I am not sure to like or dislike :

The story. It seems epic and I am looking forward to play it, yet one of the options seems to be very hard to assume in future DLCs and games. Yet this is a matter of personnal opinion, my personal taste and appreciation of it doesn't prevent me to see the immense work that has obviously been put in this DLC and to consider it of great quality. Thanks Bethesda !

What I like (very very much) :

Crossbows ! Finally :D

New Dragons! We need tougher Dragons, who are a real challenge even at higher levels.

Death hounds ! I wanted to see the Daedric Hell Hounds, and it seems that I'll get to see some of their relatives

Armored Trolls ! I have always suspected that some Trolls were intelligent enough to craft things or at least use tools or weapons. This opinion was substantiated when I discovered that the game Dawnstar featued a hierarchy in trolls, and even trollish weapons (I think there was a Troll warhammer)

Frost Giant! Epic !

Soul Cairn ! I am impatient to visit it.

Dragonbone weapons ! I love them already.

The gargoyles that come back : the more diversity among creatures, the better.

New perk trees.

New lore. It seems that we'll have new lore about vampires, about the Soul Cairn, and possibly also signs of an hypothetic, embryonic culture in some tribes of trolls. :D

The likes outweigh clearly the dislikes.

What I hope :

That there'll be updates for Dawnguards to meke it better, as it is the case with Skyrim.

That we'll get real bats. I find it so frustrating not to be able to interact with the swarms of bats appearing in some dungeons. Come on, you know you want to make potions with bat wings or eyes !

That we'll get tha Axe called "Wings of the Queen of Bats" that was http://uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Wings_of_the_Queen_of_Bats in Morrowind, with pieces of lore around it.

That there'll be Troll weapons alongside their armors.

The spectral mount! We all want a Daedric stride !

That we'll get a soulbug companion as seen in the game jam, and whose texture looks similar to that of the spectral horse of the trailer.

That we'll be some day able to cast spells without being forced to dismount. This, alongside new spells affecting the mount (giving it a frost aura, or making it faster, for example).

That we'll get some time a "Dragon shout" perk tree.

That there'll be a vampiric perk allowing us to breathe underwater and pass through the ice of frozen lakes without breaking it, to grab opponents from beneath (as described in "Immortal blood). Also, some underwater combat vampiric perks would be nice !

That I am wrong, and that we'll discover more about Lamae the Blood-Matron and the Shrieking Winds she spawned.

And you, what are your thoughts?

I still don't see why people make such a fuss about crossbows. They take longer to load and the only difference will be that the bow will be horizontal even when we don't sneak.

I think they might be more powerful. I could be wrong, though.

That's correct. But I still don't get the fuss. It's like getting a better bow, but you aim horizontally.

Axes and maces are essentially the same as swords, just slightly different stats, but people want them. Same with crossbows.

I'm not that excited about crossbows because I'm all gung-ho about crossbows, but I am happy to see there are alternatives now. It's always nice to have choices.

Might make sense to give crossbows some armour penetration, same as maces.

Anyway, just hoping they don't forget to add spell tomes and ingredients while they are busy seeing how 'epic' a vampire story they can make.

I want more books. This may sound a little boring, but that would be sweet. Something about these vampire lords, and maybe some more explaining the Dawnguard beginnings.

The only thing I'm kind of disliking is the distinct possibility that vampires will no longer have fangs in their humanoid forms. The idea of fangless vampires sounds kind of weird if you ask me, but if this is the case, at least it will end the complaints on how awful Argonians and Khajiit look as vampires because of the fangs. Though it could be too that the fangs will only show up at certain levels of vampirism, but I kind of doubt that. Doubt most people will notice that human and elf vampires won't have fangs anyway, but it will royally annoy Madmole if they go this route though, considering one of his proposed features for his vampire mod is the ability to show one's fangs. Kind of hard to do if you don't have any fangs.
I think you might be a Green Lantern fan, looking at how you colored these.
Yep, that's about four different corps right there, including the Sinestro Corps.  Also noticed that the red is "dislike" (rage), and blue is "hope."
