Dawnguard and Patch 1.7

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 4:14 pm

I'm posting this here because it does have some spoilers in it.

Okay, here's what I want for patch 1.7 and what they can fix in Dawnguard. Don't get me wrong, awesome expansion, but seriously, there is some stuff they could have added and could later add that would make it better I think. Sound off in the comments below if you agree or disagree (be civil please!), or if you have your own ideas.

1. Serana marriage. Seriously. She's the hottest NPC I've seen so far and we get nuffin' when it comes to romancing the sixy vampire heiress.

2. Let us take over whatever castle we waste at the end of the DLC. How awesome would it be to have an ENTIRE castle to live in? Complete with servants or minions :).

3. New abilities for Vampire Hunters when you side with the Dawnguard. It just feels like you get a crossbow and that's it. You get some cool equipment, but some new powers and spells for the Vampire Hunters would be sweet.

4. Serana marriage. Seriously. I'm posting this twice so Mr. Howard gets the point if he reads this.

5. Certain quest NPC's should be fine with you being a Vampire Lord. I popped it earlier today in front of Delphine so I could FIGHT THE GIANT EVIL DRAGON SHE WANTED ME TO KILL, and she ignored the dragon and attempted to beat the crap out of me. Makes no sense.

6. Faster change form time, both for vampires and werewolves. Just seems like it takes too long. You have to know the fight is coming if you want to change in time and not get the crap kicked out of you while you change. Not saying white smoke *poof* I'm a werewolf but faster would better.

7. Serana marriage. For the love of all that is unholy Mr. Howard, please? Pretty please?

I agree with the Serana part. She's the NPC with the most personality. She sits in chairs while your doing something, eats, uses your alchemy stand in your house, and comments on EVERYTHING, etc. She felt really alive. My hat's off to Beth for making a follower that doesn't just stand there and stare at you like an idiot the whole time. She actually wanders off and does stuff. Not to mention she has unique motions and gestures while talking, making her feel even more alive. I almost want to go get a $1500 computer just so I can get a mod to marry her.

the skill tree should had been implemented, or a tree that was used to fight undead. but honestly they really need to fix the vampires killing off the entire towns, in my i have several ghost towns due to the vampire onslaught. every so often it's fine cause dragons don't attack nearly as bad the vampires but, my game is becoming empty due to them slaughtering every towns person there is. and I want to know when are we going to get a DLC to makes us become a Jarl, or stick us in a position of power where the Jarls come begging to us to help them, cause I would LOVE to spit in the eye of Maven and a few other Jarls.

I highly doubt the first patch after the DLC will release any features at all. I'd rather it focus on the bug fixes. Features can be added in 1.8, if Bethesda is still feeling super generous. Most companies don't give free features, and while Bethesda has given us some for free so far, I don't know how long they'll continue that trend.

I noticed you're asking for alot of features and no bug fixing. No bueno, no bueno.

I hate vampires... But love serana.. Please marriage option?

I wanna slap myself for accidently making such a cliche character.

Werewolf that hates vampires, but falls in love with one... >.<

^^ that tells you how good they made her character.

Edit: yea 1.7 should have performance and quest glitches as priority though.

Ok I don't get what your talking about, I've had the dawnguard beta and I've still never had an npc die to vampire attacks.

Are you joking? The dawnguard gets everything, the vampire questline is completely inferior, you can be a VL at the end of the dawnguard questline if you want to.

Serana marriage would be okay, not massively bothered.

The other points I'm not remotely bothered about. People should hate you as a vampire lord, even Delphine.

You said "hate" and "delphine" in the same sentance and reminded me of my poor buddy parthurnaax. :(

+1 for serana. She's the best npc in the game so far that I've encountered. I don't expect they'll change anything but it would please a lot of people if they did I wager.

The other items would be nice but I agree with a previous poster that big fixes should take precedence generally.

They should really reconsider the serana bit though.

I have went into a town and vampires have killed shopkeepers, guards. Depends on what level you are as to who and how many die. They should keep the random attacks out of towns

Has anyone mentioned Serana needing to be marriageable yet?

That's top of the list people.

I wanted Serana as a marriage candidate, until I took a Molag Bal to the ewwww.

I didn't know where Vampirism came from until a friend told me after Skyrim's release. (started w/ Oblivion, and not a huge lore buff)

I know this hasn't got anything to do with Dawnguard but I want gambling it would be such an easier way to get the 100,000 gold achievement. Also with horse combat in I want them to do a horse chase quest and also magic on horses

Serana marriage, seriously she's the most interesting character in the whole game.

The ability to divorce and remarry.

Don't do that. Our eyes are perfect :(
Instead, fix bugs. Serena is much lower on my priority than bugs.

Yeah, I went back to werewolf today but after transforming back, my khajiit had a human's body. Different skin tone and everything. I had to reload a save to fix it. I'm staying away from werewolf for awhile until it's fixed.

Hey, OP, there are a few new spells to get if you join the Dawnguard. You can buy one from Sorine, and two from Florentius. All of them are focused on unique "sun" damage effects, which only harm undead (so Vamps, Draugr, Everything in the Soul Cairn).
