Do you think the armor shown at 00:48 and 00:50 in the trailer is light armor?

The one at 00:59 looks heavy, and the one at 1:00 looks to be a variant of the first one and should be light armor.

As anybody confirmed anything on that front? I'm trying to decide what to use for my Dawnguard build.

It looks like there will be both - I saw a steel type platemail thingy, and some leather padding that looked a little like guard's armour.

Well, that plate armor looks new and is definitely heavy. They others are wearing what looks to be some sort of brigandine, and that is probably light.

It could be that they included to variants or it could be that it is the same armor with different looks, like with Fur armor having different variants.

That's my guess also but they seem to have metal plates on the shoulders, except for the variant one I mentionned.

im guessing the red and black is light and the gray and black is heavy.

Wouldn't be that fair if they just make the armor come in one weight

The one whatshisface ( the leader of the vampires )is wearing looks like it could be light armor and it looks like the Dawnguard have two types of armor. One looks like a light armor similar to a quilted felt armor and the other looks to be a heavy armor looking like a different type of steel armor.

Probably right. People would be complaining like crazy. Just wanted to make sure before I invest time in my new build.
