Dawnguard DLC - Playing As A Werewolf

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 11:01 pm

If i'm a werewolves, i will be on vampire's side automatically, or can i choose for who stands?
Because i will stand for vanguard, but i'm afraid i'll have to abandon lycantropy. Is it true?

In the current game config you can be one or the other. I don't see that changing for the DLC.

My guess is that Dawnguard only host a hatred against that (dawnguard-variant) specific sort of vampire, but it is impossible now atm.

Yep, I kind of thought the same thing.
To attempt to answer the OP's question, I think you'd have to cure your werewolf disease before you can become a vampire, but we don't know what this DLC will allow you to do.

Probably not, that would be pretty stupid of them.

I agree in a game with as much freedom as skyrim why would they confine you like that. Maybe it would be fun to think of a backstory for a wherewolf/vampire character and why they are helping the dawngaurd.

You cant be vampire and werewolf. You dont have to stop being a werewolf to support the dawnguard (i think). There are no werewolves working for vampires in the game so far, so it shouldnt change. I imagine the companions hate vampires.

Seriously? "we don't know what this DLC will allow you to do." seriously? You have to cure Lycanthropy to be a vampire.

I don't think Umezawa is asking if you can be a vampire and werewolf at the same time.

I think he's saying he wants to play a werewolf and be an ally of the Volkihar.

To answer your question, Umezawa, it's not yet clear from the information we have at this point. Maybe you can help the vampires without becoming one yourself. (Or maybe they will try to drink your blood  )

You can be a High Elf and join the Stormcloaks so why wouldn't you be able to be a Werewolf and be an ally to Volkihar

Maybe for the very same reason you cant complete companions quest without being a werewolf for at least once. And being forced being a vampire in a vampire faction makes at least more sense then being forced being a werewolf in a fighter guild...
