I get the location for dawnguard by random pvssyr from the guards, but where the heck do you start dragonborn? And in a RP point of view, what race best suites these two DLC's?

I don't plan to join the vampires btw.

Still working on my assassin playthrough so won't be doing these for a while but still, i'd like to plan ahead. I can take a guess and say the character who you do main questline should be same for Dragonborn? Or is it after main quest? no idea..

You've got to either go to Windhelm and hop a boat at the docks, or get past "The Horn of Jurgen Windcaller" and wait for some new folks to attack you in one of the city's.

As for race, it really doesn't matter either way. I've done them as a Nord myself.

Assassins plus crossbows are a scary mix.

I use my one and only Dragonborn himself, and race shouldn't really matter.

Go to Riverwood/Riften to start The Main Quest


You can just go to WIndhelm Docks and sail there for the Side Quests.
