I JUST purchased and downloaded Dawnguard for PC, went to the Fort Dawnguard zone, and noticed that all the textures for the armor and weapons the NPCs were using were missing/replaced with the classic big, red exclamation point. I was REALLY looking forward to playing Dawnguard, and this is very disappointing. does anyone know of anything I can do to fix this? Or has anyone else run into this?

One option might be to verify the integrity of your game files. To do this go to your steam library, right click on Skyrim, click properties then the local files tab. Then click "verify integrity of game cache". What this does is go through your game files and check to make sure nothing is missing or corrupted. If anything is missing it'll download it as an update. Hopefully it checks DLC files too otherwise this solution isn't really a solution at all. Best of luck, sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Thanks a lot for the advice! It says something is downloading now, so I can only hope it's the missing textures.

If it isn't the right textures look on the bright side, you've fixed something whatever it may be.

If you're running mods too, it might not be a bad idea to stick Dawnguard last in your load order for now.
