Dawnguard Memorial - Vendors Killed By Your DLC

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 8:48 am

Here we remember the brothers and sisters of Skyrim who were killed by random vampire attacks from this DLC.

RIP Skulvar Sable-Hilt

Skyrim lost a true son and a player lost the ability to purchase horses in Whiterun.

(Curiously they killed the horse too but he got better).

Remember those you lost here in this thread.

Look at the bright side! If you've pursued the Dawnguard questline, you get a free skeletal horse! :P

Whiterun, both Blacksmith's at the entrance to town, blanking on names, may you rest in peace, since using the console to resurrect you did absolutely no good, you still found a way to disappear after a short stay. I guess death cannot be avoided, console or no console. I just wish your relatives would take over the shop, I am sorely missing your particular brand of merchantry!

AFAIK I haven't had casualties yet. That fight in Markarth (non-Dawnguard) where you let out that Forsworn is still holding up as my costliest in town mele since its de-populated the entire place.

Arriane the blacksmith chick....

However, hubby's having a great time up the tavern every night, and the khajit are making a small fortune supplying him weaponry...and I don't miss 'being someone who can get things done'.

Some un-named guard....

I used to be an adventurer like you, but then a vamp bit me on the neck...choke on my sweetrolls, buddy.

Riften
Aerin, who shall not be missed.
Nura Snow-Shod, who was decapitated

Windhelm
Angrenor Once-Honored, who should have lived instead of Rolff Stone-Fist
Torbjorn Shatter-Shield, who was my best drinking buddy
Jora, a priestess of Talos

Whiterun
Severio Pelagia, who constantly worried about the weather
Adrianne Avinicci, who died many, many times but was saved in the end by the dragonborn's ability to reverse time at will
Belethor, who also died numerous times, but was saved, very reluctantly, by the time warping dragon born

I can't remember which citizens were killed the first time i witnessed a vampire attack in Whiterun(despite their only being about 4 people in every so called city). They killed every guard that challenged them, and obviously they killed the dumb townsfolk who instead of running, decided to attack with their useless weapons.

Edit - Oh, I do actually remember Sigurd charging into battle with his iron dagger.

Does the vampire attack stop when you have finished the DLC?

It should do, but then other's have reported that the attacks continue for them. It depends on whether your game is bugged or not.

So far my only casualty is Lod, he died valiantly defending his forge from the Vampire that attacked Falkreath. Unfortunately, I haven't started the Daedric quest where I have to reunite Barbas with his owner, meaning I can never start the quest anymore.

Belethor- Whiterun

11/11/11 - 8/24/12

He's the only character I lost to a vampire attack. He will not be missed.

RIP
The Pawned Prawn guy,
and Aerin.
One of you shall be sorely missed...

But BELETHOR?
Unthinkable!
He's a keeper - I smell a Restore Savegame.

Thank goodness I had no Vampire attacks whatsoever in Whiterun.
Easy to get into Riften - but Whiterun is much more substantially protected...
(At least, in theory.)

None.

My game's NPC's are apparently cold-blooded killers. Along with the guards, they kill every Vampire and their Thralls and the only casualties are a couple of City Guards.

Guess those arrow wounds just never healed quite right...

A couple shop keepers killed, that annoying Talos shouter in Whiterun (Won't be missing him), Benning to name a few people killed by Vamp attacks.

No one. I used setessential to prevent anyone from dying to the random attacks.

If only I could do that to my shop keepers.

So far (unless I missed someone's death), only Edda the begging womand from Riften. She left me inheritance of 100 septims - a bit surprising, for that money, I bet she could have rented a bed for herself at the bunkhouse.

Also Adrianne Avenicci was a casualty once, but I reloaded the game to the last autosave the moment I noticed her dead. I like having my blacksmith gal there when I come to Whiterun :)

Not vendors, but npc character deaths none the less...

RIP: Ogol an Orc Warrior found in Largashbur.. and his brother Lob.. though that may have been from the Giant I saw attacking their village... Sorry guys! Guess i should have stoped, but it was Malacaths will... and u guys failed the test he sent...

RIP: Fastred, former resident of Rorikstead, ran away to Riften... guess you should have listened to your parents and stayed in Rorikstead instead of some random guy dressed in pure Daedric armor.... poor Bassianus now wanders alone on the streets of Riften... oddly enough he still thanks me for getting him there... I believe her death came after a Dual Vampire/Thief attack on Riften... I didnt realize she was dead until i happened upon a pile of ashes outside Honeyside. Searched the pile to find a key to Fellstar farms lol.. poor girl didnt have any idea what she was getting into going to Riften.

RIP: Random Alik'r warriors wandering around harassing random Red-guard women.. oh wait that was me that killed them.

Other then that, haven't found any others dead yet. ?I'm surprised to see the people reporting that the Blacksmith and horse npc got killed lol didnt think the blacksmith girl in White-run could die.

RIP Adrianne-You died the minute I hit level 10. Let's hope your husband doesn't bash my Breton's face in since he blamed her
RIP-Carlotta Valentia-You thought it was a good idea to rush in and fight a Master Vampire with an Iron Dagger. Let's hope Mikael doesn't find you in Sovngard.
I find it strange that only female characters have died in my playthroughs. PMS much?

id much rather have a pretty woman at the forge than having her husband bad mouthing me. The dialogue is hilarious though. When I talk to him he says "I should bash your face in" then when I exit he says "We'll have to have a drink sometime"
