Dawnguard Pricing...

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 5:20 am

Why is it that Dawnguard on Xbox 360 only costs 800 MS points but on Steam it's $19.99? Do you people at Bethesda not understand how to convert those MS points to real money? Let me give you a hint.

if 1600 MS points costs $19.99, then 800 points is $9.99. This DLC is NOT worth $19.99 for PC unless there is some hidden, unannounced bonus in it making it worth that price. Is that the case here? Does the PC version have extra content in the Dawnguard DLC that the console version don't? I've played about 1/2 way through Dawnguard on my Xbox and I don't feel it's would be worth 1600 MS points or $19.99. 800 MS points or 49.99 is a much better price point for this DLC.

I don't know where you got 800 points from, it's 1600 on XBL.

Plus it's cheaper on steam at £13 whereas it's like £18 on XBL

What it currently costs on xbl is irrelevant for two reasons.

1. MS set those prices, not Beth.

2. It was 1600 points when it launched.

So OP can stop frothing now. To borrow from robot wars: CEASE!!!

Because, if you had bothered to read a couple of posts above yours, you'd see that it's not Beth who set those prices, it's the owners of the respective networks, and that xbl initially charged the same as the others.

I think you'll find beths performance in school was fine, and in fact it was YOU who should have paid attention in THIS THREAD.
