Hi all,

I'm running skyrim+dawnguard+the high res texture pack on Steam, and I am getting random ctd without any error codes whatsoever; these usually happen within 20 minutes of loading a save game, and can happen while I am simply walking from one destination to another, or when the game is loading a new level (say entering a dungeon).

Here are my system's specs:

OS: Windows 8 RP x64 (I suspect this might be the problem, but let's see)
Processor: Intel i5-3550, 3.3gHz, 6MB cache
Memory: 8GB DDR3 1333mHz
GPU: Asus Geforxe GTX 560 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit (model ENGTX560 DC/2DI/1GD5), driver version 302.82

Am I missing anything? Any bit of help will be appreciated, thanks!

Dawnguard can be adversely affected if you have mods installed. Other than that, many PC users have reported instability issues with this expansion, regardless of mods, that may only be solved via future patch.

I don't have any mods installed, unless the high res free DLC counts as one. The odd thing is that another person with the almost exact same pc build as me (only thing different is the motherboard and the amount of RAM) can run the game perfectly, whereas I get 5 minutes of game time in before I get booted to desktop.
