Hey Guys,

a couple of days ago i wanted to start a new game in Skyrim using the new dlc Dawnguard. As you know, at the moment there are many mods conflicting with dawnguard, or dawnguard is conflicting with mods, so i decided to take a look at all of the mods i was using without dawnguard and check if they are compatible and working with dawnguard. Because i am using a lot of Mods, i decided to post it here, so you don′t need to check every single mod, as i do. However, there are a lot of more mods, that needs to be updated, but i really can′t check them all. If you like to, you can post any mod, wich is not on the list so i will add it here. I will keep the List up to date and if any mod gets an update i will post it as soon as possible.

If you are a new to Skyrim and mods - You can use any mod without any issues that just retexture things like "Skyrim Flora Overhaul" or "A Quality World Map". These mods are only overriding the original textures , they dont need additional files to work.

Green Means : Absolutly no Problems here

Orange Means : Minor Issues, i highly recommend to read carefully Mod Install Instructions and additional Author Notes and or Mod comments

• NOTE : The Authors of SOS have hidden her files on Skyrimnexus because of issues in their Mods, ecspeially in SOS - Civilisation. I do not really know what is going on, but i really really hope the Authors get their mods back on the Nexus soon. SOS is one of the greatest Mods for Skyrim and sadly it is not recommended to use them in Dawnguard (and even in Skyrim without dawnguard) since the newest patch. Some people say that SOS-Civilisation messes up savegames after uninstalling the mod, so if you′re already using SOS four 100hours + or so, maybe it is better to not deactivate the mod. SOS - The Dungeons and SOS - The Wilds without dawnguard should work, but i can′t tell you 100% because i don′t tested myself before Skyrim Version 1.7. Personally i never got any Problems using The Dungeons and The Wilds, but that was before Version 1.6. I think it′s the best to wait until the Authors will put SOS back on to the Nexus, so you won′t run into any issues with Dawnguard.

NOTE fromthe Author :

PATCH 1.7/DLC DIALOGUE BUG: In all mods Custom dialogues wont show immediately or work properly.

SOLUTION: SAVE GAME, LOAD THAT SAVE, DIALOGUE WILL SHOW NOW.

DAWNGUARD FOLLOWER COMPATIBILITY:

1)If hiring DLC follower 2nd, he will need to be hired 3 times before he joins. Same goes for dismissing him/her. All other spots should work as normal.

2) If hiring Serana with more followers HIRE her FIRST, DISMISS her LAST.

Hopefully Bethesda will release DLC source files soon so I can release full DLC compatibility esp.

As you see, these are only a handfull of Mods, but many of them aren′t working "out of the box" with Dawnguard. For me, some of the mods are essential, like the Unofficial Skyrim patch or UFO, so i decided to play Dawnguard when those Mods are fully compatible with the DLC. Many Issues are also Dawnguard related and the Mod Authors have to reorganize many things in their mods, i think it will take some time until the most things are done. Another very very important thing is the load order, a wrong load order can cause bad Issues in Skyrim, even if they′re listed green here. Use Boss and carefully read the Mod installation Instructions before starting a new game - And, if you′re new to Modding - Gopher′s Videos on the Mainpage of Skyrimnexus (or search on youtube) are an absolutly must see for you, becuase they will tell you everything you have to know about Organizing your Mods for Skyrim. I hope you find this usefull. If you have tested some more Mods, please let me know, so i can add theme here.

The List maybe not 100% correct, maybe there are some Bugs or other unknown Problems or Gamebreaking things in some Mods, so everything you do, you do on your own risk. Backup your Game and most importantly your savegames! Don′t cry, if anything goes wrong, i warned you.

And the most important of all : If you′re using these Mods, do not forget to Endorse the Authors work, you get so much fun for paying absolutly nothing !
