Dawnguard-Vampiric Changes.

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 12:00 pm

How do you guys like the Vampiric Changes for Vampires? Stage 4th vampire players no longer gets attacked by villagers and other people. Dawnguard added blood bottles and new feeding animations that will revert the stages. But why should they matter considering one of the biggest disadvantages was being attacked eveywhere you went?

Edit: First thread on Dawnguard suboards. Yay.

Nice 1st dude , ninja'd superbly.

Dunno yet, wont be getting the DLC just yet. Need to wait a bit as I have other things in the frying pan as it where. I would like to hear how its changed in detail as Im unsure on vamp mechanics to start with anyway as I have never gone the vamp route.

Love the vampire lord form, dislike the lack of angry mobs at stage 4. I miss sun damage as well :(

I just hope they add new drawbacks, Like being unable to transform into a VL at stage 4 vampirism. Or at least something to keep me feeding. without being attacked I'd more likely choose to be more powerful with no penalties than weaker with no penalties.

That is the first thing I am doing when I get the DLC. I want to see what changes there are for regular vampires before I even start the Quest. I mainly want to feel more like a vampire, and less like some creep that watches people fall asleep so I can give them a hickey. If I can bite necks on awake people and cause damage in human form, this DLC is priceless.

I don't like it at all. I want AoS and deadly sun damage at S4. Transforming is not to my liking ans it just doesn't fit my playstyle.

I would be in favor of a Vanilla Vampire to keep the same mechanics and just allow VL characters to be free of Aos at S4. Then if one wants to be AoS free, but does not wish to be a VL, then they can just opt to not transform.

I'm just curious about whether or not we get new drawbacks or something, cause It doesn't feel as if vampirism is curse now.

I don't agree with any of the changes made to the vampires. Being one is more of an advantage than a disadvantage now.

Thats the whole idea. Vampirism was never meant to be a completely negative disease to contract and hopefully cure, it was meant to provide an alternate way of playing with Advantages and disadvantages. Youre still weak to fire and daylight stops you fom regenerating health and magicka.

No, it's not the whole idea. Now it's just a bunch of buffs with no need to feed and the lack of regain and -60 hit to M/H/S is easily negated. The lack of regain can be argued to have been in play for a normal character to start with. Just by wearing a good set of robes will keep your magicka up and therefore you can cast healing. With the right Restoration perk that same healing spell will replace Stamina.

The sun should be deadly to a Vampire. To even suggest otherwise is just ...(finish that with any dirty word yo want.)

Actually my blood magic is getting quite weak, might be because of lack of feeding.

maybe healing spells won't work anymore or potions?

I had a race spell that didnt work when I am a normal vampire to restore my magic so maybe?

We wont know until the NDA is broken.

Even after the NDA is broken no beta tester knows what, if any changes were made to the finished DLC based on feedback, so we are all going to experience the final product together.
