I haven't found this issue else ware so i decided to make my on post about it.

I recently purchased and downloaded Dawnguard for the PC version of Skyrim through steam and have encountered an error where i can receive the Dawguard starting quest by listening to guard gossip etc but when it comes to actually traveling to fort Dawnguard the world space hasn't been updated.

At this point things i have tried to resolve the issue are:
-ensured the Dawnguard.esm is in active.
-Reinstalling and creating a new character with no mods just the vanilla game.

I have in total reinstalled Skyrim 3 times over the course of trying to resolve my issue however i have yet to find a solution.

I'm not sure what I can do on my end but I'm looking to get a friend to email me with their esm to see if its a problem with my files.

Any help or suggestions with this issue would be appreciated.

try the verify cache files

On steam library right click Elder Scrolls Skyrim > properties, go to local file tab
