Anyone else run into this? I had killed all of the Forswon appar from the Brairheart. He was particularly tough, I had made a save after killing everyone else so that I could keep trying at him. Anyway at one point we were fighting up at the entrace to the tower. Things started moving slowly, sort of jumping. He said something about a stalemate. I was trashing about with my mace, but my health was low so I jumped off the edge of the building to heal myself, I didn't remember hitting him but when I went back up he was lying dead and the game wasn't jumping anymore. Another posibility would be my trravelling companion killed him but that isn't likely, I think he was fighting the spider in the tent at the time.
On the subject of that area, I had just left the orc camp, had sent The Unbroken home and taken the orc as my new companion on my way to Dead Crone Rock so this was just countryside between the two areas, I ran into Farcas from the Companions, he was with the guy who says, "My favourite drinking buddy." Another glitch?
