I have had a glitch in dead money on the mission where i have to take dog to the switching station in order to do the gala event. Yet every time i talk to him it wont open the companion commands and he just says "Let me out, Hungry" i heard somewhere you had to give him something to eat but i could not get the ghost people to him. I tried using the recordings,radios and the prisoner commands but nothing works. I have installed the recent update and deleted and reinstalled dead money but no change. Does anyone have any suggestions that could help me because i dont really feel like starting another file and doing 22 hours worth of stuff again.

This is the exact problem I am currently having in one of my saves even if I delete the patch he still says the same thing. Please patch this and don't ignore it this problem has been around since Dead Money came out and I still find it funny how no one has bothered to patch it. yet.

You actually don′t have to lure the Ghost People to DOG. You need to kill like 3 for him and gather their remains.
Then hand them to DOG and He′s fine.

Even though i didnt know that i could do what you said it still dosent help me because everytime i go up to him and press A to access the companion wheel and put the remains in his inventory i cant do it because he just says "Let me out, Hungry" but thanks anyway.

This Fountain BUG (when you are not able to recruit a companion or can′t talk to Elijah again.)
occurs when you try to play Dead Money without the Update 1.2.
Or if you remove the Update during the DM walkthrough.
Or if you play with your savegame on another Console where the Update 1.2 was not applied.

And i read that a few installing the update 1.4, then remove it and maybe reinstall.
It′s ok, but be always very carefull with such actions.
If you apply an Update and play and save your game, then remove the update and load this particular save again
you will be screwed.
Because there is a good chance that you are able to load such a savegame without the update,
and so you may think, it′s fine to play.
Don′t ever DO SO.
