I just downloaded the Dead Money DLC but when I continued my game I got the quest message in French or Spanish and the description of the Mojave Dessert is also in this language.
Before I had the download everything was just in English.

me is my game is French...the DLC is English :sadvaultboy: :sadvaultboy: my copie is for québec city French canadian.

Same thing here: I'm from the Netherlands, and there's two options to buy Dead Money: one in English and one in French. In my hurry I downloaded the French one as it was the first available. I want the English one of course. You probably downloaded the French version as well.

We have to download the English version, then everything will be fine. But it isn't fine, as we'll have to pay another 800 MSpoints just to get the correct language! What gives? Why not pay once for both languages? Can Bethesda work this out with Microsoft? I'm not going to pay twice for the same DLC!



And you probably have the other way around: downloaded the English version while you needed the French one.

I'm French living in France but playing my RPG ONLY in English ONLY (French versions of video games are usually Awful with bad acting , bad voices ... ).
I didn't get any option to choose for my DLC.
Now My full englsih version is mixed with a French DLC !

Why on earth can't the xbox live market check the saves or the version of the game (in my case it's an English UK PAL version) and give a choice before downloading any DLC ??

Well I guess it's like normal life... when things go wrong in the beginning .. it will be "a mess" until the end...

Some of my friends are more clever... they'll wait for the GOTY version of Fallout New Vegas...

@ Forsythia : I understand your situation. Again too bad there isn't any detection system for the Game version.

Well, I'll be waiting for a response from someone from Bethesda about this issue. They are the publisher so they should know why it's released this way. It would've helped if the DLC wasn't titled the same, but simply 'Dead Money (English)' and 'Dead Money (French)'. I've seen this before with other DLC, so it shouldn't be too hard. They also have a giant WARNING in the description that mentions it's intented for the English or French release.

But I guess Bethesda couldn't be bothered.

I just went to the marketplace to check it out but you can only see it's the French version when you go over to the right to Details to see the French info.
So Bethesda really screwed us over.

well.. Don't forget that the "pipe" (= xbox live) belongs to Microsoft. Microsoft does whatever he wants with xbox live.
Too bad we (consumers) can't get any choice of language.

I stopped using my DLC and deleted it : I got too much freezes with it.... Well I need to finish the main story, so....

Bethesda, you got my money with this DLC... well, I'm not too much angry...

Bethesda made so much good (but buggy..) games...
