Dead Money:WTF

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 1:50 pm

This DLC is as bad as the old batman games its has a great story board but the crap that happens is ridiculous and so are the ideas.1: ghosts did they really have to come back to life not only do the jump around like a spider monkey and are tough to kill but if your fighting 2 and knock one down you wont have enough time to go over there and kill him while your killing the other guy the other guy or guys 2:the cloud wherever this stuff comes from it doesn't even tell you where it comes from and its everywhere and its not bad enough that you cant see through it but it does large damage fast and the rebreather doesn't help you even though you keep it and i even kept motor runners helmet. 3:the vault ok the vault is the most part of why i hate this DLC the radios are every where but only a short number are destroyable and will get aggravating when doing this over and over and over. holograms omg not only can you not kill them but they are over powered and hard to control and you can only turn them off with 100 repair wtf i thought you needed science to repair electronics. gold bars they weigh to freakin much i cannot over state this enough 35 pounds GEZUS i mean look i know they are valuable but seriously it is physically impossible to carry 10 yet there is 37 i could see 5 or 10 pounds because of size but 35 . Elijah is an anus you cant kill him while he walks toward the vault not even VATS work I'm serious i saw buckshot go around his head in 3 spots not 2 yards away either the escape you have to run as fast as humanly possible and you cant carry those gold bars because your collar beeps and you cant just run past the holograms sometimes you can but that's in occasion thought if there not in your way but still.

i posted this because i felt like sharing my thoughts about this topic so trolls and anuses don't be hating so i dislike this DLC :flamethrower: Dead Money

1: ghosts did they really have to come back to life not only do the jump around like a spider monkey and are tough to kill but if your fighting 2 and knock one down you wont have enough time to go over there and kill him while your killing the other guy the other guy or guys

They're actually fairly easy to kill, I had no problem with them at all, just shoot at one limb repeatably until it falls off and the ghost is dead.

2:the cloud wherever this stuff comes from it doesn't even tell you where it comes from and its everywhere and its not bad enough that you cant see through it but it does large damage fast and the rebreather doesn't help you even though you keep it and i even kept motor runners helmet.

I think it's explained where it come from if you find the right terminal.
Rebreather does not work because the gas eats away at the filter.
And it's there for strategic and survival purposes. If you run through it fast and keep your eyes peeled you'll do just fine.

The radios were badly placed, yes.
The holograms are for once an enemy you have to fear, which is a good thing.
And you can shoot the things that spawns them to deactivate them, turning them off with repair/science only means the others won't notice you.

Gold bars they weigh to freakin much i cannot over state this enough 35 pounds GEZUS i mean look i know they are valuable but seriously it is physically impossible to carry 10 yet there is 37 i could see 5 or 10 pounds because of size but 35 .

The moral of the DLC is to learn how to "let go".
All of the characters in this DLC has something they need to "let go" of.

Elijah is a dike yes.
I killed him just find.
The escape is meant to be panicky.
The holograms are easy to run past and won't even be there if you shot/disarmed their receivers.
And again, the gold is about "letting go".
It's not meant for the players to get all the gold bars. (Though there are some glitches which some players found that did allow them to take them all.)

Sorry that you didn't like the DLC, but you're not meant to take all gold with you, you can disable the holograms by shooting their receivers, the gas is for strategic purposes and is easily avoidable and once you find the simpack code (Clinic, front desk) it's easy to take your time in the gas cloud and the ghosts are fairly easy to kill if you focus on one enemy at a time and one limb at a time.

Try playing through the DLC again and remember these things, stimpack code, focus on one enemy and limb at a time, shoot the holograms receivers and I believe you'll feel less annoyed by it. :)

1. The difficulty of the Ghosts is your own business, I found them challenging but not too much so. I find them interesting, more so than if they just put some new clothes on Raiders or whatever.

2. Your problems with the Cloud are, once again, dependant on your skill, I wasn't to bothered by the poor visabilty or the minor health loss every few seconds, if you're talking about the deadly, thick clouds then find another way around or be clever, that's the point. The Cloud is absorbed via skin contact as well as inhalation, it mentions it in a terminal.

3. Just look around, trial and error, whatever. I'm sure it took everyone a few goes to get through the vault. Play the game better, dodging the holograms is easy, they barely even chase you, if you look around the emmitors glow blue and require one shot to destroy.

4. The fact you can't carry all the gold out is the exact point, wouldn't be surprised if you got yourself locked in the vault the first time.

its not the fact you cant kill him its just at specific time you cant sneak attack him but you can keep him occupied with turrets
and the cloud is aggravating if it is in the right spot and the reason and i went through the game with 50 % health or less so it was aggravating the piss out of me and how the hell are you going to let go of something that is worth 10000 caps its like letting go of a glob of dried super glue and i thought it was about beginning again

Because if you don't, you die and therefor lose, that's why.

As I said, find the stimpack code, when you find it you can get a lot of stimpacks if you loot the sierra madre chips like crazy, with a lot of stimpacks the death gas isn't much of a problem or annoying either.
Well, you die if you don't let go of it correct? ;)

Shoot the emitter then run, after you're [hidden] go back and shoot the next then run, after you're [hidden] go back and finish the last emitter. ;)

and i did have stimpack code im just not very wealthy hence forth gold anger

Well, then there's no one else to blame but yourself yknow.
I picked up every single chip I found and had tons of stimpacks through the DLC. (Around 70 stimpacks)

Obviously not well enough because it can be done, that's why they're there. You shoot one then they turn red, you have to stay hidden long enough for them to turn blue again, or try shooting them in a different order, taking out the ones which get you first. btw try harder.

The final three right?
I think two of them are on top of the beams right above you.
You have to jump from one platform on top of another then jump on to a beam then shoot the final two.

You did'nt hit them enough then.

and it said its about beggining again in a cutscene

No, that was the radio signal from before the war, it was a trap now and the DLC is about letting go. (Which I did'nt, because I took all the gold.)

and i did have stimpack code im just not very wealthy hence forth gold anger

That's just too bad, it's not hard to stay alive in Dead Money.

ive looked alot of them but cant find any others except one in the corner and i you shoot it your pretty much dead

Shoot it more than once then.

EDIT: Also, I play on Hard and everything is easy to kill after an hour.
