Deadliest Catch and Top Shot

Post » Sun Jun 30, 2013 12:40 am

Simple question here.

How many of you watch both these shows an would you ever want to appear on them.

Because as much as i love Deadliest Catch id be frigging crazy to go on their with my [censored] up back even if the money is good id be a danger to myself an the crew.

That said id love to actually meet the crews an just see how much of what we see is real an what's written.

As for Top Shot id love to appear on their except the only thing im good at shooting is my mouth an the fishing line.

They should create a new show that combines both of them... sharpshooting fish out in the ocean.

Sounds like something the Hillstrands would do.

Yeah, I like both shows, but I definitely have no interest in being on Deadliest Catch. I'd be dead within the first hour probably. I would like to meet the guys though. I would like to be on Top Shot, but I'd have to practice for a long time first. I've used guns my whole life, but I've never put much real effort into shooting better. Still, I would like to meet Colby and the awesome marksmen that compete on there.

Edit: @DarNoor, Yeah that sounds about right.

Like bow fishing?
I'm not a bad shot and I would like to see how I could do against pros in a shooting competition. So i would like to be on topshot.

I watch Top Shot every once in a while. It's fun to see the different weapons they use.

I wouldn't be surprised if the hillstrands already do go shooting for fish or at least dynamite fishing.

I'm more interested in why junior is well has pretty much burnt every bridge between him an the other captains.

Elliot maybe cocky an rush into things before thinking but at least Elliot is willing to try an when I heard about juniors dad I just thought of karma coming back round.

An I would love to give the greenhorns a psych eval just to see how crazy they are.

There's an area in the US where fish leap out of the water. Only problem comes from using firearms in the open like that, firing into the air since mythbusters proved that a bullet fired at an angle will come down with enough force to kill.

Personally, I enjoy Top Shot, but never really care enough to watch it. On the other hand, I do not like Deadliest Catch because it is on way too often and they swear way too much.

I wish they would all be put on a separate channel and history, discovery programs and nature shows would come back onto those channels.

Dammit...

Only ever watched Deadliest Catch, since as far as I know Top Shot hasn't been shown in Finland. Was a cool show, I don't even really know why I liked it since I couldn't care less about fishing. There was some charm to the show that I never really understood.

The charm of those shows is their use of camera angles, music, dramatic scenes etc etc...the content itself is incredibly boring. Most of it is simply cinematography and camera tricks.

I think most of that charm was with Phil an his kids sure he swore more then anyone else an treated his kids like anyone else but the love he had for them an the Cornelia Marie was so visible an it was a sad day indeed when he passed but even the relationships between the other captains an each other has some charm to it.
