Dear Crysis 2

Dear Crysis 2

Please do not add in Achievements, Ranks, Dog tags, and Perks. Crysis and Crysis Wars have a unique feature which separates this game from all the another FPS out there. It's Freedom of gaming Exploration where the player didn't have to worry about stats and it didn't really matter about how much you kill or die or whatever. Basically the game's freedom is being limited. Also It would be nice to still keep the servers the way they are as in...the ability to make custom maps and host those maps in servers. Anyhow the nanosuit's design in Mp looks bulky and I miss the tinted goggles would rather use this in MP (please look at link below) then run around in this fat suit. If you don't use that in MP then please redesign it, don't want to redesign it? OK then please at least tint the goggles like Nomads. It would be nice if we can change the color of our suits and customize them ourselves (Gamers). Last thing Crysis 2, Please separate Crysis 2 from PC and Console because PC should have the most out of it, considering the fact that Crysis had the best graphics of all time and tuning down the graphics for consoles is set back to Crysis 2 on PC. So Please when making this game separate PC aspects from the consoles and do not put console things in PC. We as the gamers of PC do not want another MW2 MP where there is absolutely no servers (IW mistake). Also 6on6? Really, The thing that made Crysis feel realistic was having the large maps with 16 on 16 players. I thought Crysis 2 MP would try to go for higher numbers on the PC Version like 32 on 32 :). Some of us don't like big maps and others do like big maps. Any size map is fine with me but do not limit the players teams to 6 on 6 ( that's just boring).Removing Vehicles in Crysis 2 MP would be bad idea. Pulling out grenades is bad idea. I like to press G rather then scrolling up or down for grenades. Hopefully I can choose the Nanosuit's Voice system like in Crysis where you can choose a Female's voice over the Male's voice. The death camera is set to third person then 1st person. It be better in 1st person. Basically I want the old Crysis MP Ways in the Crysis 2 MP. It's MP features were perfect so keep those features and do not copy another games like MW2 or Battlefield series (Dog tags,Achievements, Rank, Perks, Weapon attachments should bought like when you spawn not earned AND NO KILL STREAKS!!!)

You do realize that previous Crysis Multiplayers have been trash, right? Quake 3 Arena has more active players, even today, than Crysis has now.

Quake 3 Arena is old. Really old. Like... Over ten years old. Crysis? Barely 3.

So you see, something must be wrong here. Some people, indeed, liked Crysis MP (and still do), but that's only a rare few and the die-hard fans of Crysis. Mind you, I'm also a fan, but I always hated Crysis' MP aspect. Always. Even Crysis Wars. It felt crap. There was just SO much potential and not even half of that was utilized.

Sure, I don't agree with some things that they've added to the new Crysis 2 MP. Such as, yes, kill streaks. However, overall, it seems like a MUCH, MUCH better game. I look at it and don't go... Meh... Whatever...

I'm glad they've moved on. The team behind the new MP doesn't seem very competent in my opinion, but regardless, they've pulled off some awesome stuff. Maybe it will feel like a generic shooter and maybe it will have that **** "console-ish" feel, but regardless of that, the MP aspect is now at least making SOME attempt to be as good as the SP.

That's good. Still, the team behind Crysis 2 MP seems if-y. I'll give you that.

Honestly I see nothing wrong with adding achievements and stats. If you really don't want to deal with them just play in a no-stats server. I greatly enjoyed both Crysis multiplayers...for a little while. Acievements and stats would add to the replayability and give players more reason to play longer. Hopefully the base gameplay will be even better than before as well, but I see no reason not to add acievements or stats.

The mp of crysis got boring quickly for most, i still play it, so they try to get more players and make them stay for longer, i don't see anything wrong so far...

Wow, Amazing thread, its like no thought went into making it. Really? No kill streaks? Have you played MW? It is like the most rewarding part of the game. And no stats? Do you really think that is even possible, what game would ever consider a no stat system in a competitive game? Ranking system provides months of replay ability. If you mean you would like a social game type, well that is usually reserved for the more "casual" gamers and Crysis is by no means a Casual game. They have always aimed toward the hardcoe. I think Farmville might have a casual mode you might enjoy though. As for battle size, Halo 6v6 on a medium sized map like Construct or Last Resort has proved to be a great pace for multi-player. The amount of players does not matter, it is the size of the map that is key.

@Dj, The team seems iffy? Are you kidding me, the MP looks amazing. I played Halo, MW2 and Far Cry 2 competitively for a long time but the original Crysis MP I found lacking in game play though huge on custom map creativity. Initially, my interest in Crysis 2 was based purely on my hope for a map building component for the console like Far Cry 2. I had almost Zero interest based on my experience with Crysis 1 MP. Honestly though, I have been utterly compelled by the pure awesomeness of this game. This feels like a absolute ascension for the Crysis team and I for one, am totally impressed. This game is going to fire on all cylinders, trust me.

It does *look* amazing. But to be fair, we have only seen so little of it. Read what I said: I said the TEAM looks iffy, not the game.

the multiplayer is going to be MUCH BETTER with stats, and modifications, unlocks , and especially nanosuit modules. It just gives you more reason to play and doesnt give you the same old boring gameplay every time, because you have new abilities and stats etc...

The only problem is that while the gameplay seems good, it definitely IS NOT CRYSIS. Crytek has clearly just ripped off elements of Call of Duty and called it Crysis 2, and while Crysis had tons of potential, it seems like Crytek was easily willing to just throw it all out the door for a simple CoD in Nanosuits game. -.-

Sorry for the double post.

I wouldn't say it a COD game now. It still has a lot of unique features of its own. Crysis is supposed to be a franchise, and a franchise should be able to go anywhere. Just because they are making the multiplayer like other games, doesn't mean it has to loose the Crysis 'feel'
Besides if the Crysis Wars had the original 'feel'... then its time for a change

It seems many developers take ideas from other developers which isn't always a bad thing, but if the "copied" game concepts are not executed well than it will just our right svck. Also, if the Crysis 2 concept stays true with a few say COD concepts that is fine as long as the COD doesn't take of the original Crysis 2 game play concept. Lets faces all developers take ideas from each other all the time, it just depends on how good the developer stays true to their original concept and how well the games componants are executive in game.
