This will go so well. Hello, friendly thread. Seriously, if you have to ask why you posted this, don't. This kind of thread is never friendly unless it is the thread made for the show by the fans.

Why the appeal to ANY show? I tried MLP, not my cup of tea. If people want to watch it, more power to them. Doesn't make them any less a person for liking it than me watching Game of Thrones.

not saying theres nothing wrong with it, just asking why grown men admit to watching it, isnt the normal response to pretend you know nothing?
EDIT: ignore the last part, a bunny stole my computer and typed it.

If you're insecure and overcompensating, then yes, the normal response is to pretend to know nothing.

Talking about your hobbies, no matter what they may be, doesn't make you any less of a man (or woman)

It's a TV show, same as any other. I watch iCarly, Victorious, and Adventure Time, does this make me any less a 'grown man' for liking a show I'm not imposing on anyone else?

Indeed. There are some things out there I keep scratching my head about that I can't understand why people like, but I leave them alone. Sonic is probably one of the things. I liked the old school sonic stuff with the freedom fighters and the darker robotnik, but the Sonic X stuff just seemed kinda sad to be honest. Don't understand the sonic fans, however, I won't bash them for the "rapid fans" within them since every fandom has those die hard, hard core people that believe the show can do no wrong. Also, as many suggested, it would be best to use the threadship is magic thread.

I can assure you that we're not going to burn your house down. Maybe bombard you with cupcakes and activate the orbital friendship canon which is in geo-sync orbit for flamers, but not someone that is just curious/doesn't understand.

Heck, if I see Ben10 on or Pokemon, i'll try to catch those myself.

They stuck around when they realized the show itself was really good, too. Fancy that!

We're still desperately fighting with the traditional ideas of being a "man" and a "women" as opposed to the more modern values of just liking whatever you wanna like. In about 15 years people will be expressing their like for something completely without worrying about traditional ideas.

That strikes me as a deeply optimistic point of view.
