Dear Zenimax,
Katanas (Blades Swords), are meant to be held with two hands, not one.
Thank you very much in advance,
Edric

Yes. Thread titles should always be descriptive.
Unless, of course, it's a wakizashi, or they are aware of the stance of the one-handed katana battling like musashi.
The poll is optional. The content of this post is my personal letter to zenimax, which makes the title pretty descriptive
I love the "I don't want Edric's dream to come true" part x)
You made me laugh, sir.
I'm not necessarily against it, but they'd have to rework katana's a bit to prevent them from becoming underpowered.
Eh, they could just treat them as normal two handed swords, but with a different animation. I would hate to see it swung as though it's some hefty thing
I voted for the 2 handed option, seeing as Katana was the topic in case. I've always read a 2 handed Katana attack can be one of the most admired in terms of speed / penetration, and thus have always favored this, over seeing weapons dual wielded.
In saying this, a Tamahagane Katana ( all the way down to Tanto ) is a legendary weapon in the real world. I would much rather they kept it in line with that, and showed the Samurai respect. They were basically the police in certain regions of Japan. And in all fairness... I highly doubt they would have an Honorable ( if any ) battle Dual Wielding. Keeping in mind the stigma of Dual wielding / Video Games. You know what you think deep down when you see it.
I completely agree! Given the katana has more cutting power than a normal sword of it's size lends further weight to the idea of giving it the same damage as a two handed sword in game. Also, I think these should be reserved for the 50+ portion of the game. These really are legendary/epic weapons and should be treated as such!
"I dream of a world where players get to choose which combat style they prefer."
..Oh, shut up Gave!
You're grasping at straws, but alrighty.
Just suggesting you make future threads which are actually topic descriptive; every body of readable text is a 'letter to whoever wants to read it'.
It's a good practice.
I liked the thread title. I was expecting the picture of a guy riding a horse ( which later turned out to be a costume... i was so impressed ) but here we have a friendly face... AND Katana's.
