Ive seen the list of possible pets, but it seems like no one has taken alot of time trying out different ways to get around that wall

Well the children are afraid of death hounds, so there is no way they would adopt one. They all behave the same way, there is no faster way to get rid of unwanted requests for an allowance or gifts than to have a death hound as a follower.

Ah, so you have found a way to say no to the little tykes without them treating you like you were a schmuck? :)

All my characters are the generious types who come home with pockets stuffed with treats, the vampire character Braggen did bring one of the horrid things home to see what the reaction would be. Between the two characters with Hearthfire houses they had brought home all the other types of dogs, could not leave one out. But someone more miserly could keep a death hound follower.
