Death of my PS3

Has any1 experianced complete system failure after playing Skyrim? After reaching lvl 33 last night I am unable to load any type of game on my PS3 (PS3, PS2, or DVD). I take good care of it so dirty lense is out of the question but it is one of the early models so it may just have reached its lifespan. I spend few hours tnight looking online through many different forums for players that have experianced same thing that happened to me and was able to find few posts that had same issue as mine. My game was running quite well with some small lag but nothing major with main drama coming from FAV bar that would take some time to upload and scroll down. At the end it may have just been timing of all things but after finding few similar posts I do wonder. In few hours GameStop will open so can get new PS3 but won't play Skyrim until issues are fixed (when and if thats another story).

I liked the link to the article posted by The TwigsteR...very well written......

From my experience Bethesda games put a lot more strain on the blu-ray drive since its constantly reading and loading things from the disc. I remember reading when Fallout came out that a bunch of people had their PS3 disc drives fail after playing it. So it was probably just the last push that finally caused your drive to fail.
