I used the sneaking and sniping (AM rifle) style and when to the top of the conveyor belt and placed mines all the way up after dealing with the 3 or 4 that spawn at the Sloan side. From there i managed to kill all the deathclaws apart from the Mother one. I got a sneak attack headshot on her which didnt do a lot of damage but got her attention as she chased me back to the land mines at which point i was using stimpacks every 2 seconds to survive her swipes, suprisingly once i started to run up the ramp she stopped chasing allowing me to shot without fear of getting my head swiped off, i think maybe they cant fit up the ramp.

That was on easy mode though so god knows what its like on normal or hard as the mother deathclaw swipe removed about 200hp a hit. I would advise against followers as they would just attract the aggro of 4 or 5 DC at once which i doubt would be good.

Damn them for removing all of the awsome crafted weapons. I could use a Dart gun for these bastards. Major screw up removing all of the crafted weapons I might add. I collected all kinds of the junk to build those with, only to find out later they removed them. Why in the hell would they remove such an great crafting? They said the Community loved the crafting so they were going to expand on it. Yep they gave me some crazy food items I can craft but only on camp fires, god knows why I would want to use an oven or a BBQ???? But then they take out my beloved gun that shoots plates and [censored] cups... rofl... wow

Then do not go to the dead wind cavern, which has the legendary deathclaw, the most powerful enemy in the game, or the unmarked deathclaw promotory or something like that. The first has a lot of deathclaws in close quarters with 2 mothers and the latter has around 25+ deathclaw with remnants power armor.
