Delphine didn't offer me the horn? Help?

Post » Sun May 20, 2012 6:55 am

So after completing the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller quest, going to Riverwood, meeting Delphine, taking the Blade in the Dark quest, completeing that, and so on and so on, I still hadn't been given the Horn to return it to the Greybeards. I hopped online to see if I was missing something and learned I should have received it a long time ago. Now, I've completed the Wall of Alduin quest, met Parthenax, and still haven't received the horn (level 32) . Any suggestions? Restarting from a previous save is not an option here.

Restarting from a previous save is not an option here.

Well, starting from scratch would be it then.

Until Bethesda releases a patch that adds the console to PS3 (which they never will), you're stuck with the broken mess of unfinishable quests.

No but I offered it to her... Needless to say she just deposited Windcallers in my pack. Now THATS epic failure... She'd be a great romp too.

Bethesda replied via email

Thanks for contacting us. In some cases, performing quests and actions in a specific order can corrupt elements of the game and the associated save file. We are looking into this issue. In the meantime, we suggest loading the game from a previous save file. We also recommend making plenty of saves as you go about your adventures, because this provides load alternatives in the case that your main save file ever becomes corrupted.

There will be future patches to address bugs and glitches within the game. Please visit our forums for a list of known and emerging issues, as well as announcements regarding updates and patches.

We deeply apologize for the inconvenience and we thank you for your patience as we patch the game and address these issues.

See they already know whats wrong. I spole about this without having seen this before in reply to another person with a problem. If you have trouble with the quest you are on, or if you find after completing it that the game no longer opperates for you, then you revert to a save and take a different route, choosing a quest thats the oldest in your list. My quests and objectives are 40+ strong and because of how they are listed, they are in order of the oldest to the most recent. Thus if you are doing faction quests and the main questline you need to find the oldest of that set. If you are doing merc work or personals, same. If you are doing things in the Miscilaney section, then you need to understand that that second has its own priority structure because everything from land marks you might want to visit, to bounties, to gathering, to search and destroy; go in there. You need to find the oldest of each type and go there, then go back and complete any quest that you may have not been able to complete.

This is really hard to explain... Bethesda! try and reorganise that whole mess into more parts!! I know its not that simple but for crying out loud. Also please move the sidebar options from the top down, its wierd that low, even though it was done for ergonomy. Having a "Miscelaneous" aka everything-else-in-here-section is just confusing.
