Has anyone come up with a good build for such a class of character?

Probably Archery, Light Armor, Alchemy, and sneak. I would say a more aggressive build is forgoing sneak and taking Heavy Armor.

Theres 2 Sun spells that only damage undead, and an aura spell that surrounds you in light and also only damages undead. All in the restoration school.

What's a shame for me is the inability to 'Stake' vampires that you happen to come upon sleeping. That would've been nice. I mean, I open a casket and see a vamp laying there, and I get all excited thinking I'm going to do a Van Helsing slaying, and all I do is slash them. I tried to pickpocket, hoping there'd be a 'Stake' thing, but nope. How about it Bethesda? They can bite people while they're sleeping, how about taking out a sleeping target? Staking for vamps, and something similar for 'mortals'.

if your talking about warcrafts demon hunter your going to look for a duel weilder, wearing light to no armor and having demonic powers,if you want to get really into it have your main shout aura whisper since they can supposedly "sense" people

Get out your shiney silver sword, and lop their head off. Also van helsing style, albeit slightly more retro then what most are thinking.
1 handed, archery, sneak, restoration, light armor. ( ironicaly i preffer to wear the black vamp armor with nightingale boots and gloves)

They need a more variety of hats. Also a nice coat like light armor would be sweet

archery, one/two handed, restoration, light armor, enchanting, and maybe sneak. Sneak to me wouldn't be as important as you really wouldn't only rely on just a bow.

Archery, One and Two handed, Restoration, Light or Heavy Armor, Enchanting/Alchemy, and possibly sneak.

Be sure to use the Crossbows!

Better put some points into the werewolf skill tree as well, if you like the film.

I was actually praying for a repeating crossbow to be included in the DLC.

Tbh, the only Helsing acting like a demon hunter in my memory is the one in the film. The van helsing in the novel doesn't really do much shooting or fighting.
