Describe skyrim in one word, and explain

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 5:23 am

So i was thinking the other day "if i had to describe this game in one word what would it be" EPIC... then i thought... what OTHER than epic... and i was like "organic" like, everything feels like it belongs, from the way you get quest, to the world.. if feels much more alive to me, but yea....

whats a word YOU would use to describe skyrim?

Addictive :)

Don't think it really needs explaining - doesn't matter what I do, there's always something more I could be getting on with, whether it's retrieving a weapon for a citizen, completing a guild quest, or reading the latest book I picked up. Alas, real life gets in the way again!

Broken

I trip over game design flaws everywhere I go. I spend more time thinking of what I'm going to change when I get the SDK and can start modding than I do playing the game.

Supercalafragalisticexmealodocious.

In reality: Overwhelming.

Soo much to do in it... 13 active quests, 56 misc. objectives... :bonk:

Unplayable.
I can't even play the game for more than 15 mins at a time without crashing, and I know I'm not the only one.

Magnificent

Skyrim is such a great game that it deserves to be preserved in the National Archives. Bethesda always does this. They make games that push the boundaries of their last game and just when you say "Ah...great game, can't get better", give them about 3 or so years and then BAM, better game.

Sadness because I cant play. Not only because of a bad bug on Yngol Barrow that hinders progress, but because I have a grade exam in week and a half and no game for me till then.

Gray.

As In shades of gray. Nothing is black and white in this game. Every quest I have has posed me with a moral question, I have been faced with murdering an evil orphanage headmistress, killing a regretful werewolf in order to remove my own curse, choosing whether to help one man get a girl over another, and joining a racist revolution or an oppressive regime. It kind of deters me from doing anything actually.

Detailed

Not just graphics wise but things like dragonflies fluttering by, salmon jumping up a small waterfall, it's those little things that make it great.

Realized.

Probably the thing that hits me most about the game. As an rpg, I feel it is sort of lacking. As an experience in itself, it is pretty damn good. The world really feels alive, and the developers have put a lot into the game to make it feel lived in.
