Describe your childhood in one game

For most of us our gaming habits began back when we were young. Little kids getting home from school and rushing through homework so you can fire up your game console or computer and sometimes play till bed time. These are the games that we will never forget, some even shaped our tastes for gaming forever. I want you guys to recall your fondest childhood gaming memory and try to pick one game that defines your childhood best.

As for me, I'm only 16 but have been a gamer for as long as I can remember. It started playing playstation one with my brother. Mostly Tony Hawks Pro Skater. I also played a lot of Rollercoaster Tycoon on the computer. My first system that I could call my own was the GameCube, I spent many many hours playing games like Super Mario Sunshine and Pickmin. But the game that I don't think I will ever forget is a game called The Elder Scrolls V: Oblivion.

Obviously this game isn't very old, but I'm only just now becoming a young advlt and I don't think it's ever to soon to reminis. Oblivion was my first M rated game which was a big deal for me because I was only 10. I had no idea that there was such a thing as an "open world game" and my mind was genuinely blown. This was the game that showed me what video games can be. An immersive world with what seemed like infinite possibilities.

So anyway, I just thought it would be interesting for you to hear about one persons perspective of the game you all know so well. I'm sure 40 years from now ill be in my hover rocking chair saying "now let me tell you about Oblivion." To my grand kids. Your posts don't have to be nearly as long as mine, feel free to just put the name of the game if you want. ;)

I really can't describe my entire childhood in one game because it was filled with so many great games. So I'll describe it in one system, Sega Genesis. Some of the best times I had with my siblings when we were younger was on Sega. Then we got an original Playstation and our minds were blown. My brother, sister and me had so much fun playing that too. We lived on a farm and had lots of chores so we didn't always get a lot of game time though. So the time we did was always special. I miss them days man.

If I had to choose a game to describe it though, I'd say Sonic the Hedgehog 1 & 2 for Sega Genesis and Driver 2 on Playstation. Driver 2 was basically the first open world style game before Grand Theft Auto 3.

What?! This could only mean you weren't in your childhood when playing Daggerfall then.
